Evening
Hope everyone had a good day
I've only just got home. Been out since 8am:eek:
I went to wembley market for the first time in 7 years. It has gone down hill! Used to be good once! Then I went to sada and wombled lots of receipts:) Got £10 odd in total:T nothing interesting on any of them. Mainly 10% back. Couldn't get the muller yogs because they aren't veggie apart from one flavour. No one in our house would eat them apart from me. I suppose I could have got the veggie one with fillers! I got free cravendale milk and activia prune yogs for 50p with mag voucher. SA noticed the moc was for the pear yogs but still let me us itThen I popped to T's and wombled 3 receipts  not good! lastly, I went to westfield for free l'occitane hand cream & a free lipstick from HofF with the marieclaire voucher. Did lots of tube hopping in between. I need to soak my feet now
I was going to order a pizza for OH from dominos, but it says expired on HUKD? I should have got him one yesterday!0 -
Grapefruit in juice, A 2 for £3, T 2 for £2, BUY IN 6's - 20p each after APG.
Paste, A 3 for £1, T 2 for £1, BUY IN 6's - 9p each after APG
Wish I'd have realised the grapefruit segments, on coming late into this. (As per usual!!:rotfl:)Already getting addicted... just trying to fully understand everything abd how it works...
For example, wd u use the voucher as spend against doing the same shop again?
You can certainly use the voucher against the same shop again. (Assuming there aren't any price increases at the competitor when you shop again in A.)
I think the point is that you (i.e. the global 'you', meaning everyone) should use the APG voucher against another APG shop. Otherwise, you're given a voucher but would then be spending on items some of which are more expensive and some are cheaper elsewhere and thus subtracting from the APG you would have got. (We don't want those "more than 10% cheaper" items offsetting the more expensive/not 10% cheaper ones.) If this makes any sense... (which is of course difficult from me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) you are getting a voucher but then spending that voucher on something expensive, so in effect losing the refund that the previous shop gave you. (And I'm talking of when the voucher was spent on things more expensive that then don't also give, in their turn, another refund.)
So, my view is that APG vouchers - or indeed gift cards or cash - every shopping transaction - should be another APG shop (this time vs whoever).
If it's not an APG/price porkie/Sains. match shop etc., it should be
a shop (which may not have to qualify for APG i.e. doesn't have to have 8 diff. grocery items) on which every item is already more than 10% cheaper in A and/or "N/A at the competitors and on which A represents the best value than, or at least the same good value as, anywhere else - including stores not included in APG - Aldi, Lidl, 99p stores etc."
So you are spending the voucher only on items that won't give a refund, because they are excellent value, rather than mixing in with more expensive items and any refund overall being calculated on your whole transaction and thus you're putting back the refund you got previously against a shop on which you're overpaying on some things without getting full recompense on the APG by everything being not 10% cheaper (or being a non-comp. item at the chosen competitor but on which A is more 10% cheaper than everyone else - but this last bit is for the more advanced of us, as you have to be sure that the item is N/A at the other place before risking it on a comparison shop).
And there endeth my infamous long-winded answer. (Basic point is there's no point getting a voucher refund from a shop, only to spend it on another shop where you're being 'overcharged', or what people might well call 'paying over the odds', without any recompense from that 'overcharge'. Otherwise, as I see it, you're just putting the money you saved back: giving it back to the store.)0 -
Evening all. I managed to get the Mullers today, two lots of 10, not posting a list as results same as everyone else's.
Suffered an attempted trouting in A's. She refused my Alpen vouchers, saying that they were on a list of banned coupons. I asked to speak to the supervisor, much to the disgust of the customer behind, who huffed and puffed, gathered up her 5 items and stomped off! ( I had three shops lined up, mine, Mum's and MILs:D), and had warned her before she put her shopping on the conveyor that I would be a while). The supervisor apologised to me and told the sa to accept the coupons.
I had picked up some whoopsies and was walking away further down the aisle when I heard a kerfuffle behind me. There was a man in an electric wheelchair trying to shove other people away from the whoopsie shelf, shouting 'wheelchair user, MOVE':eek:. The man directly in front didn't move immediately, and the man in the wheelchair called him an 'arrogant bar steward', deliberately rammed the wheelchair into his legs :eek:, and then said 'Oh so sorry, did I clip you with my chair?', in a very sarcastic way. :eek:Lots of filthy looks and muttering from everyone round the whoopsie shelf, but no one said a word to him.
Very grumpy people in there today.
For anyone doing SW the Muller lights are brilliant, cos you can eat loads of them sin free. The Alpen light bars at £1 a pack (3 sins each bar), with the coupon, are good value. The SW HiLife bars are much more expensive for the same sin value.
I hope you've all had a good weekend. I'm off to watch Project free tv on the desktop now, loving watching all the series I've missed.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Took me a while to spot, but the Blueberry isn't on the 'what to buy' list posted earlier made up by RootedNomad with the help of Savvybuyer's earlier post. These were invaluable, thanks so much to those who helped put the lists together.... I believe this is where you went wrong.
Yes, very annoying when you find the non-matching one in the whole range - I messed up two shops with this flavour earlier.
I am tempted to go back tomorrow and punish them with another few shops but the fridge is full!
