Hi everyone
We’re launching a new forum introduction guide today to help newbies learn how the forum works.
If you’ve not yet joined the forum because it looks a bit daunting or you don’t know where to start you could be missing out on some valuable help (and you’re definitely missing out on some great forum challenges!), so watch the new guide and give it a go.
If you’ve already joined and been using the forum a while it’s still worth watching, you may learn something new. If you have friends that haven’t yet joined show them the guide to help show how easy it is once you know how.
Feel free to let us know what you think, whether it will help you, friends, relatives that haven't yet joined.

thank you, think it will be brilliant for newbies & 'oldies' alike :Tplease be a responsible pet owner & spay/neuter your pets, too many strays & not enough homes for them sadly.0

Just watching the video - one observation is it's a bit confusing when the first video comes to an end. I didn't realise at first that there were other videos following it and other options to click. However, I am using a small screen, so maybe it's clearer on a large screen ...
I haven't yet found anywhere where it tells you how to post. I think that's the trouble a few new users have (even though they manage to find the right button in Site Feedback to say so!).0 -
LOL a few years ago I did say on a thread that maybe newbies should be offered "induction" in order to navigate the forum and what the basics were, and I was slated out of that thread.Be careful who you open up to. Today it's ears, tomorrow it's mouth.0

I watched the video without swapping and changing, from start to finish. I must admit, I was a bit disappointed that 'how to start a thread' and 'how to post' wasn't nearer the beginning of the video.
I agree that there should be a message to inform viewers that at the end of the first clip............another clip will follow shortly...........and several more after that.;)
Full marks for the graphics and lovely clear audio.:T At the risk of being sent to the Sin Bin again..............thank goodness you didn't give the 'voice over' job to Martin.:D10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Yes, thanks fermi I knew that already.;) I was just making the point that if you sit and watch the video without chopping and changing.............the 'how to start a thread' and 'how to post' are further back in the programme than I'd like.
That's just my opinion though.;)10 Dec 2007 - Led Zeppelin - I was there. :j :cool2: I wear my 50 (gold/red/white) blood donations pin badge with pride. Give blood, save a life. 0 -
Thanks , I'm a Newbie Joined this week but started a thread and kinda Bumped it as I noted that 119 members had looked at it I thought I'd ask if anyone had any advice ..so posted to prompt really
I was Told by a Member not to be so rude ... following my 2cd post ..see below the members reply
"see HMRC website, i found this page in seconds. you dont have to be rude"
I'm sorry Members if it was rude it was not intended that way
Many Thanks0 -
As you can see from my previous post on the Newbie thread I mentioned my very first post which is still visible but the reply referred to in my previous post by a member has been deleled as has my reply to that member and my thanks to him for posting a link that could have helped with my query
Now the link is gone to
My question - why would poster remove the post with link and why was my response to that post also deleted
Many Thanks SD0
