Asda Credit Card: Strong warning

What's the point? If you spend, say, £100 and pay £100 when the payment is due, the interest will be charged for about 20 days anyway - from the date the purchase was made till the payment date.
But you could pay immediately. This is what I do, the savings interest on my minimum payment is barely anything anyway, and since I like paying £1 over the min, I can't rely on a DD (it's there as a fallback but would only get taken out if I fell into a coma for a month)0 -
I might be missing something, but what's the point in paying by a credit card "just before statement date", then paying the balance off "immediately" on the statement date? Unless you are after Section 75 extra protection, it's easier just to use a debit card instead. But you could pay immediately.0 -
maybe for the cashback, only reasons i use themDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Careful, I tried that with Nationwide. On the only month I failed to make a payment, they charged me a £12 late payment fee which I didn't notice until I received a notice of charges letter, as I assumed the DD would take care of it. Turns out that since the DD hadn't been used for 6 months, they cancelled it. They did refund the charges and interest once I complained I wasn't told about such a rule however. I now ensure I leave at least £1 for collection by DD. It helps me as well as banks are requiring them more and more.0 -
why would you make purchases on a 0% balance transfer card ????? dont even risk it. its the biggest no no there is regarding balance t ransfer cards0
