16/25 AFDs today. I spent the afternoon cutting back climbing roses, and got a wee bit sunburnt. Mum and I went out for dinner, which was lovely, especially the dessert we shared. We both agreed the dessert was so good we could have eaten more, yum.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Just had a bit of a cry, and am feeling sorry for myself... missing DH but cross with him for not giving me a verbal hug when I needed it this morning (or again this evening). I always look a mess when I've been crying, too. Wondering why there's never anyone around to give me some support when I spend my life giving it to others. In this evening's phone call with DH, I had to listen to how tired he was and how bad he felt... I'm not unsympathetic but I wanted some sympathy. Then I got told "but your mum's xyz" and it felt like I was being told off for feeling tired and emotional! Hold on, I'm working damned hard at mum's house, not sleeping well, and also worrying about my brother and niece. And I know what mum's problems are - that's why I'm here!

And yes, I've had 2 glasses of wine. I think I was very restrained, too.

Hope you're feeling a bit brighter satchmo. You're obviously torn between wanting to support your mum and missing being at home. I'm sure your mum is loving having you there.

Another for me. I was a little tempted as normally I'd extend the weekend into the Bank Holiday. But I've been overdoing the calories lately so decided a night on the wagon would be far better for me.

    12 AFDs please Shaggy.

P.S. My target for the month is 10, unless you're trying to tell me something.;)

What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

1 SNC and 7/20 AFD for me so far. Ended up drinking Friday, Sat and Sun and worked out that it set me back £21.85 which is not good at all!
