    Morning all

Bitterly cold here with heavy snow forecast later, fortunately I don't need to go out today :j
Dd2 is going bowling tonight with friends its the other side of the city so I've asked her to keep an eye on the weather to make sure she can get back safely

Going to look for a recipe for soup with carrots, DH turned up with a 5 kg bag yesterday, most of them I have peeled, blanched and frozen but I need to do something with the rest

Cleaned the kitchen this morning and I am bleaching all the mugs to get rid of tea stains, done the ironing, wm is on

Have a good day everyone xx

    Morning redruby and all,

i was up bright and early this morning. Dogs got me up wanting to be let out and wouldnt settle afterwards.

No more snow thankfully and the snow and ice we have is beginning to melt. Not quick enough though i need to sanitise the side of the house as it looks disgusting with yellow snow. I certainly dont want that trod into the house.

Jobs for today are all done and the only thing ive got to do later is prepare the tea. We will be having salmon tonight as we havent eaten fish for awhile.

I am worrying about my sons at the moment. My eldest has dropped off Facebook and isnt returning my texts and i'm hoping my middle son is warm enough in that awful flat he is living in.

Daughters are well and happy, youngest is at college, he slightly overslept today but he still managed to get out of the door on time for the bus.

Hubby will be home late tonight. He's still suffering with his cold but ive got plenty of lemons.

Temperature has warmed slightly so ive switched the heating back onto the timer. I must say it was lovely getting up to a warm house over the last few days.

Have a good day all, and enjoy your weekend.

    Morning all.
Hugs Hilstep, and anyone else who fancies one!
Its snowing lightly here, need to see the forecast as I am supposed to be going out with a friend for her birthday drinkies, but if the snow starts to be heavy the roads in our estate get a tad hairy cos of the hills! Need to rummage something for DD and I for dinner, DS is going out with his mates for junk food and pool playing. Hopefully today will finally get DDs cushion covers make, have been seriously CBA'd but need to get my butt moving.
    Have a good day all!

    Hi all,

Finished work at 12. Today - went to Mr L,s for weekly shop, spent £46 that included wine and beer, it was DS1,s 19 th birthday this week and we,re celebrating this weekend.

I am £130 under budget this month, so chuffed, that will come off the CC as an extra payment.

Out for an indian tomorrow night its what DS1 wanted as his birthday prezzie, he,s year 3 apprentice and now tell,s me I spend far too much on them (kids) and doesn,t want a gift as he has everything he needs - okay who swapped my snotty toddler for this sensible young man!!!!!!

Bad news though, my lovely 15 year old westie, Baxter looks very wobbley, I feel really cruel, as he,s been sleeping for 2 days, but DS1 works away, and I want him to have a chance to say goodbye - Baxter does not appear to be in pain, but has been sleeping 23 out of 24 hours for past 2 days, i,ve been hand feeding him, got appointment with vet tomorrow morning, I think old age has finally caught up with him - hoping its not goodbye, but have prepared kids for the worst, just in case.

Hope your all okay - hugs to those who need them.

Have a fab day all xx

    Afternoon All

It was snowing here this morning, sleeted all day till I finished work and then it really snowed! It's very white here, not so about 3 miles away. Thankfully I don't have to go out again tonight so will cosy in next to the fire.

Need to put the washing on the airers but really can't be bothered to do much else. Didn't get in till about half 10 last night as I was helping to put the new curtains up in the village hall. They look really nice and fit well, quite glad as I was one of the measuring folk!

Hope Baxter is comfortable, hugs to you Islandmaid.

    Take care. XX

    Bless Baxter xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I use baby sterilising fluid from Semichem to clean my cups, mugs and teapots, its kinder than bleach.
