O/S Daily Friday 25 January 2013 Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 24th January 2013 - . This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well
Morning all,
No more snow here, but still cold, at least its Friday :T
Off to work for me today, dd at college, dinner tonight is tacos, so nice an easy.
When I get in this afternoon I shall, whip round and have a quick tidy and put a was on, then have a sit for an hour before collecting dd. I am always shattered by fridays, sometimes have an afternoon nap
Jools I love custard, cant remember the last time I made it though, enjoy xxx
Bitsy, how are you doing ? xxxx
Have good days all xxx

Good morning everyone
No snow but it's forecast for later, let's hope it misses us.
Frustrating journey to work, set off early to go and get fuel at cheapest supermarket but the petrol station was cordoned off so now I will have to go on the way home.
Salmon from the freezer for dinner, haven't decided what with yet. Soup and bread for lunch. Need to check freezer for weekend food, it's full so I must be able to do a no spend on food weekend.
DH is up to his eyes in A level marking so my decluttering efforts go on. Will drop some more stuff at Oxfam tomorrow and pray for a free listing weekend on ebay.
Well wishes to all sick people and pets and hugs for those who need or just want them. Keep warm and safe and have a super day.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Morning everyone
Hugs to those that need/want them that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x
Anyone heard from Monnogran?
Now getting light here this morning, no new snow and what's left does appear to be melting, although overnight temperatures temperatures are still cold, we're forecast for possible snowfall again tonight, 3 degrees tomorrow and then 9 degrees and rain on Sunday.
DH up and off to work stupid early.
Dinner last night was a naughty takeaway - but was welcome as I've had a few days of being not so good. Tonight menfolk will have egg, bacon, sausage etc and I'll have mushroom omlette and salad.
Have quite a list of chores to do today - so hopefully keeping busy is going to help - I will be going to town and the bank first thing, then food shopping, the bathroom shop, now need to go to car dealers as I managed to put my nail through the soft pad on my car key fob and now keeps making the alarm and immobiliser go off on my car - needs to be replaced - no doubt it will be a stupid amount of money! Was reasonably productive yesterday - did get all the washing done, just have our bed linen which is washed but needs to be dried today, everything else is dried and ironed - will strip boys beds and get them washed, dried and remade today. Did a quick round of housework - and have printed off flylady sheet - will hopefully get going with some more of this today - will then start again from Monday trying to do at least to level 1 each day whilst working and hoping to build on that.
Have a great Friday x
Keep safe and well x

Morning all,

DW emptied and dry washing folded it wont get ironed until we get back.
Only bathroom bags to put in the case.
Just read that petrol is going up 4p a litre as from the week-end :eek:so we will fill up on our way back from Torquay.
Off to shower, Hope you all have a good day.

Morning all,
Hope your all well. No snow here but forecast for this afternoon.
Going to aim for a relaxed morning as I am teaching this afternoon. I've finally been put properly on the books at the agency so fingers crossed I will get fairly regular work.
Dh off and out early and ds3 off to college. The house feels very untidy but will be done Saturday morning as usual.
Going to eat my breakfast mid morning, that way I can last until tea time.
A nice quiet weekend planned. Feel back in control food wise and will try and fit a run in over the weekend. Just wish this blooming snow and ice would go so I can run outside.
Have a good day all J xStarted Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.

Morning All
No snow last night but the sky looks full of it today.
Thanks for the heads up on petrol prices Beth, I will get DH to fill the tank today on the way back from the Doctors. I have an appointment today, because I still feel rough. I think that it is Asthma which in turn is affecting the Hiatus hernia, still I will see what she says.
DS is at college today and DD is at her BFs.
Oh well better get the kettle on for DH, he will be home from work
soon.
Beth I hope all goes well today.

Having a cuppa and a browse on here before going downstairs to make breakfast.
Have been tracking dh's computer to see if it might arrive today. His old one is so slow and has been on its last legs for over a year.
BM seems to be struggling due to the very cold kitchen so might look up dough recipes and then prove and bake a loaf in the oven while using up veg in a soup for lunch.
Need to make up spare bed as dd has friend staying over and sort out the clean laundry mountain. Snow is melting but still icy patches around so I am loathe to go out unless I have to.
I saw little bunches of daffs in supermarket yesterday and got some.
Lovely to see some of them bursting into bloom and makes me feel Spring might actually arrive eventually.
Hugs to all ."This site is addictive!"
