  • I think it means dera wife Poohbear!!! lol

Thanks for your thoughts. I will include all my shopping on mine then as I normally do, but not petrol. Living in the country, we have to use the car, so if I had to take that out of my budget, we'd starve!!!! lol

So for May, I will leave my budget at £220, which was £50 a week, divided over 12 months, if you follow.... Then I will bring it down a bit every month and see how I go.

Its nice to have other people to talk these things over with, OH just grunts if I talk about something he isn't interested in. He moans about what I spend, keeps saying we don't want much do we? but also moans if we run out and have to go to a small local shop as the big T is 7 miles away and Morrisons is 10, then he moans about time and petrol, so I can't win with him. I prefer to talk to normal people anyway!!!! lol

My partner is learning, he took me out for lunch and moaned about what things cost, asking me what it would cost to make, moaning about prices of burger van type food when he was away saying he was pleased he took sandwiches (he was like a kid before and wouldn't take them) the worst comment was probably a compliment but felt a tad harsh 'I won't have that because I can have it at home now you can cook' cheeky sod! Suppose he's right in a way, I was little miss convenience before, not any more!!

He was also suggesting things to by as alternatives because of price, weird he's coming out with things like that, I must be rubbing off on him  :rotfl:

As for distance, know what you mean. Tesco about the same distance for me maybe more, farm shop where I buy all meat etc from is 4 ish miles away, local shops consist of a small over priced village store, busy from supermarkets etc! When I say about shopping on high street that's still 3 or 4 miles each way and there isn't much worth having there, won't use the butchers again, he lies!
One day I might be more organised...........

I didnt make sandwiches for work today, and forgot t bring my coffee in, so I spent about £2.00 I shouldnt have, also I took the bus home when I can get the train for free £1.35 to save me a 15 minute walk. I was happy with the dress I bought for a wedding in june though, hadnt spent around £50 on a gift card I got at Christmas, knew about the wedding then you see, and there was the teeniest snag in the chiffon and got 15% off so it cost me £23, plus got nectar points.

Thought I should update. Was doing really well, but DD has gone on school trip to France and they have to take supper, breakfast and lunch as well as all the usual nibbles to last a five day trip. So, spent a bit more than intended at Asda on Sunday. On a positive note, I have enough food to last this week till Friday at least, just need to get a few fresh bits at Aldi today, which shouldn't be more than about £6.00, so fingers crossed, I might just scrape through the rest of the month.
    Have a great day everyone.

Sorry to hear it's gone out of the window Elfinwings. I'm also on a diet but finding it easier to stick to the budget as not buying those 'extras' etc.

Someone remind me never to step foot in Waitrose again, not impressed with the choice and definately not impressed with the prices, first time I had ever been in and £15 for the few bits and pieces I needed later, I won't be going back!!!

Waitrose is leeeeeethal... that's why via Pigsback many of my vouchers are for Waitrose so at Xmas this year I won't feel bad, as it will all be free!

Was naughty and bought some Bonne Mamman cookies yesterday, but they are pecan and I couldn't resist...

I think we will prob be slightly over our £120 aim this month as right now we are just over £107, we will see.
