What's the Best Used Car U can get for £3000-£4000 ?

It all depends what the OP calls 'best'.
I own an Accord .. very happy with it and in estate form it fits my OH's definition of best quite well. Decent MPG, outstanding reliability, decent performance in 2.2TDCI
I also own a 330D (56 plate purchased for above the 4k limit) but also fits my definition of best... an older E46 might fit the OP's?
On pure value I think present 2nd hand prices for something reasonably quick and reasonably economic to run the Saab's are hard to beat if you happen to like them... (and they are a love/hate).
Equally a Rover 75 Diesel... If trim levels and retro look are your thing.
If you happen to be good with car electronics and have access to ODB tools then even the French **** can be outstanding VFM.
I'd say there are certain car to avoid but plenty of good VFM cars in that price range, it all depends what you want for the money0 -

I'm being a fool to myself, but I have a Fiat Punto 1.2 Active, nice shiney red, 3-door, even with some MOT on an 04. I was looking for £4k, but you can have it for £3000. Western Union is fine.0

what do you want from the car? That would help to give a better recommendation.
But generally, look at a car's new price to get an idea of what parts and running costs will be like. The mercedes are pretty good but they can be £££s to fix if they !!!!!! up.
Japanese cars are pretty much bulletproof.
Or go for a classic!0 -
what's the point from mondeo?
I can fix pretty much everything myself on a car and you can have clean & OK Mile example of clk for 3.5k
What is the point of asking advice if you have these skills?
You are also a very clever person with a serious toolkit and diagnostic computer if you can fix "pretty much everything" on a modern car;)0 -

Not what i would call a mint example, it states turbo problem and cat c which i can only assume means it was written off.
lol . I didnt read the advert for that car. There were about 200 cars listed for a lot less money than the OP put so there are bound to be some in there.
People seem to think im lying when i say a 5 year old car for £2000 ish. But im on my 3rd.
Not Cat C and turbo issues either. All bought from dealers.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0
