Check your O2 Broadband bill if you've renewed your contract

I recently renewed my O2 Broadband contract and the next bill was wrong.

The first bill after renewal O2 splits the 3 components of the bill (the main charge, half-price discount and the discount for having an O2 mobile) between different periods:
1. date of renewing to next bill date
2. bill date to contract end date
3. contract end date to following bill date

In my case the half-price discount was excluded for (3) above meaning my bill was too high. I contacted them and they've applied an adjustment but how many bills are wrong and go unchallenged? I know of at least one other person with a similar error, so it wasn't a one-off.

Hope this helps someone.
