The white vinegar and bicarb mix act as a neutraliser so do use them aswell. I'd be tempted to use a combination of them, bleach and disinfectant.
We had an elderly cat who had a couple of accidents in our spare bedroom, we managed to save the carpet with ludicrous amounts of scrubbing with white vinegar and applying bicarb over a period of a couple of weeks.
Out of interest do you know if your floor (underneath the laminate) is a concrete or wooden floor?0 -
Found out through previous owners ex that it was cats room and window was left open so it could get out and in whenever it liked. Disgusting. It's wooden flooring. Ripped out laminate flooring and underlay today, big difference already. Tempted to take out wooden flooring(room is tiny so only 5 sheets flooring)
Started stripping the chip wallpaper...only got one wall done but hey it's a start. By time get all walls stripped properly and floor sorted out I will get it painted and a carpet laid this time round I think. It's a weights room but might end up having tumble dryer in there also.
Making some progress but long way to go before I'm happy. Even the curtains started to smell of it so they are getting binned!:eek:Living frugally at 24

I'd bet your sub floor will be okay, cats pee a very small amount so to soak into and through laminate enough to get into the sub floor would take a sodden laminate (Ie ALOT of cat !!!! in a short period of time)0
