How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?

If you can do that for £125-00 then the OP had better employ you to do it.
Turn up, tools out of the van, dust sheet up.Hang 5 doors with 3 hinges per door, fit 5 latches (possiblyincluding a bathroom privacy lock),fit 5 pairs of handles, possible move door stops to allow the doors to close properly, clean up,take all your kit back to the van and go in half a day?.
Most guys price work on a basis of a days work being 8 hrs, no way I would do 5 doors in 4hrs including the above , guess I must be getting slower.
I would charge a full days money so anywhere between £150-£200 would be a fair price.0 -
Bargain, we were just charged £100 to fit one!0

Don't take the mick. It's more like a day.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0 -
It's half a day, an hour per door at most. After all it's a couple of hinges.:eek:Living frugally at 24

So you are not a joiner then?0 -
Thanks for the replies all.
To be fair to all the joiner he said "It would take the best part of a day" so not a half day but not a full one I read it as. So we are all right (or wrong).
What made me laugh is he said all of his work is outside at the moment and the thought of working indoors with heating and hot tea sounds good!

we have just had 6 custom made doors fitted in an old house with non standard size doorways hence the custom made aspect....it still took a full day to fit them, carpenter started at 8 and finished well after 6...fitting was included in our total price but your price seems very reasonable to me for the possible work involved....and potentially longer than half a day to complete.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!
2017 toiletries challenge 179 out 145 in ...£18.64 spend0
