Tories deliberately made unpopular so as to keep Wallace in?

A mad conspiracy theory of mine or is there something in it?
Have the Tories at least in part cemented thier unpopularity by doing a lot of tough things recently, in order to cement Wallace in place for now, and thus make it too late to change him in the run up to 2015?

The last thing the Tories need is Wallace being shoved out and replaced by someone with a chance such as Chuka Umunna.

Quite possibly. But Cameron has already said that the swivel-eyed nutcase Balls (my words, not his) remaining as Shadow Chancellor is the most important thing of all.
No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.

The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

Milliband may have a reshuffle soon and who knows where he may place Chuka Umunna in his Cabinet. An obvious choice to replace Ed Balls, or not?

Can he afford to annoy Balls by demoting him (Chancellor is generally regarded as the top job)? The one thing Balls is good at is rabble rousing, so you wouldn't want him taking umbrage and flouncing off to the backbenches to launch his own leadership challenge.

The Tories couldn't remove child benefit from rich people properly and struggled with increasing taxes on caravans and steak bakes; and you think they can choose the leader of the opposition? Yes it sounds a bit mad.

That man is plain stupid. There is a thoroughly disgusting arrogance about him.

On Ed Balls, there is a man that would give an Asprin a headache.

To be fair, we are living in an age of political mediocrities The entire front benches of all three parties could barely muster a decent pub quiz team between them.

This coming from the guy who has been posting add nauseum about how the green shoots of recovery are sprouting. Seen todays GDP figures yet. Not official until 9:30 ...but its not pretty!
So many deluded people around. Even Nick Clegg now admits they've got it wrong!
