So glad it isn't just me ;)

Very small OP today of £3.47 to mortgage (same sent to savings). Just a little bit of interest that was added on various accounts. Felt I NEEDED to OP something. I am ridiculously addicted to this. Must keep an eye on the bigger picture so I don't get too down when I don't have much to OP.

    May target £499.31 - £3.47 = £495.84 to go.

Off to get a few bits on eb@y. I had a good look through my eb@y pile last night. I don't really have very much left in it (certainly not much of value). I know my wardrobe could do with a clear out though. Must try to clear the last of what I have then start another declutter mission. I wrote a list of 29 items to clear out in the current pile. I will try to get all photos taken this afternoon and 10 items listed. Not very motivated to do it but not much else to OP towards the mortgage at the moment so that's helping the focus. Wish me luck!

Decided to change the figures for my monthly challenge as my totals below include my regular £134.54 OP. So I'll add that to the total to be knocked off this month just so I can easily see what's what.

Total OP target for May is £633.85

    OP's so far

    +£134.54 regular OP
    +£3.47 savings account interest
    +£37.13 Payp@l payout for eb@y sales
    _______
    +£175.14

    Just £458.71 left to find

Savings loan repayment pot stands at £362.95

I find reading diaries is a great motivator and I always find little tips and ideas. Feel free to share your own targets and ideas if you'd like to!

Are you on a MFW mission?

Hum. Own targets. Well now. Um. Err. There's a diary somewhere!

Our mortgage is pretty similar size to yours - £286K at present. We have savings and emergency pots but haven't actually thrown as much at the mortgage as I would have liked. Life always seems to get in the way! I feel at least I'm making an effort though - £24 OP'd this month already. Got something selling on fleabay that ends today currently at £9.49 so that will go to an OP too.

Groceries all within budget. Holidays for this year paid for or saved up already.

Got made redundant on Monday though (whole office being closed down) so need to find a new job sharpish! I guess that is my current target! ;)

I had a read of your diary over the weekend. You have been dining amazingly.

Such tough luck being made redundant. I am a great believer in these things being meant to be (if nothing else, I think it makes obstacles much easier to overcome!). Good luck with your decision whether to stay through to the end or not. I'm sure things will work out and in a year you'll look back at this as a small blip in the MF journey.

    Best wishes x

Just a quick update for today as not much to report back as yet. CC bill paid for last month (DH's expenses) but expenses not yet cleared to us. Were approved ages ago so no problems there. It's irritating though as now have no spare cash in budget until expenses clear.

Money all allocated for bills and groceries but other bits - holiday travel and DD bike on hold until money clears.

Need to do online shop this evening but meal plan done already so shouldn't take too long. Must remember to use discount vouchers as have two to use.

Am also waiting on two small refunds to clear to current account which will go straight to savings/OP

In other news- DH spent two hours looking at new cars online and has mentioned booking some test drives. Not sure where the money for that is coming from... Perhaps he's found himself a rich fancy woman :rotfl:
