Insurance for I phone 5

I'm considering getting an I phone 5. It's expensive enough as it is, but then I realised that given the cost, perhaps insurance is worth it too. I know that there are various bank accounts of sorts, which include phone insurance thrown in in the premium. I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation as to an economical way of insuring the phone, either by stand alone insurance, by something like a bank account with phone insurance included, or something else, or not to insure at all.

Hi
I got mine with Protect your Bubble which is £5.39 a month and includes theft, accidental damage/water damage. Not too bad for the cover.0 -
I added mine to my home contents insurance, all risks for £5.00, and a £25 excess in event of a claim. Certainly far cheaper tan dedicated mobile-only policies.0

I get free mobile phone insurance including iPhone with my NatWest bank account. This and home contents insurance are probably economic ways of doing it, other companies worth considering are Insurance2Go and Gadget Cover, which cover iPhones for about £4 a month.0

It's often not worth buying insurance specifically for a phone. It's typically very hard to claim and normally have an excess to pay anyway.
It may already be covered under your home insurance, so it's worth checking that before buying a separate policy.0 -
Try a comparison site to compare deals such as Insurance for iPhone 5. Can be useful to compare prices and features but I wouldn't always go for the cheapest and would read some reviews of the companies listed. I know protect your bubble have had some bad press in the past - http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/experts/article-2083196/I-waited-nearly-months-Protectyourbubble-deal-iPhone-insurance-claim.html#axzz2K1IvoTau0
