Maybe its just the Luton to Dublin staff that have no backbone then because this has happened to us on 4 occasions to Dublin and back!!

If it happens again, why don't you push to the front and say you're business class? People will look so confused (or think you're just batty!) and let you go! x
    Gone ... or have I?

I like that one dmg24 ... would probably work to, if executed with unexpected applomb:-)

I did something similar behind another tall guy who decided he could argue a case based on the length of his thigh bones:-) ... he succeeded and so did I by just saying "Yes I am quite tall too:-))"

Most of the gatewardens point you to the back of the queue, but if you have something original to say, and have happened to position yourself more though the gate than approaching it they will usually on your second word on the matter say "OK on this occasion", just to clear the way:-)

Oh and sorry to say MKWife, that kids are no longer a ticket to priority boarding with Ryanair, though once again, from what I have witnessed, most gatewardens will cave-in if you are assertive/pleasant/debate-worthy enough, especially if you have a difficult-looking push-chair as a well-deployed prop! (interesting art that!)

I have never bought priority boarding, but I have only once failed to get a seat I like (and all done without pushing and shoving). I see it as a challenge - a measure of how well I am performing on the day! If I fail to get the seat I want I might expect to fail to get the sale where I am going too:-)

:rotfl: Interesting! Using the quality of your Ryanair seat-finding abilities as a barometer for the rest of the day. I like that!
