Ryanair priority boarding

We are off to Rome at the weekend with Ryanair (We are flying from Stansted)
I booked the flights last year & paid an extra £2 for priority boarding. (Before online check- in was available)
Their website now has details about online check- in but no details about how to check in with priority boarding- has anyone done this recently who can let me know the procedure please?
Do we need to queue up along with everyone else who is checking in baggage to get our boarding card? (We are only taking hand luggage)
I don’t particularly want to fork out anymore to check in online!
Thanks

Depends on the airport.
As you have paid for priority boarding and you only have hand luggage, then you should be able to check in online.
If not, some airports have self service machines, but some don't.
Even if you do have to queue, they never seem that long when I go - maybe I'm just lucky?! xGone ... or have I?0 -
The trouble is I think you have to pay again to check in online?
I’m not sure about self service machines at Stansted airport, I’ve never used one -how do they work?
I did wonder if they just have a separate queue for hand luggage –anyone know?
I could phone & ask but that’s not cheap, so would rather try & find out here if possible!Too much of a good thing can be wonderful!0 -
Ring the airport direct and ask to be put through to the Ryanair desk. You should be able to find a number on https://www.saynoto0870.com.
If you pay for priority boarding at the time of booking, I was under the impression that included online check in (for hand luggage passengers).
I know BMIBaby have a separate desk for hand luggage only, but I haven't seen a Ryanair one. I haven't flown from Stansted, only Luton and E Mids.
Edit: This looks like a good bet - 01279 664210, or 01279 662066.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Your confusing "Checking In" with "Boarding"!
You have basically paid to be amongst the first to board the aircraft. You will check-in just like everyone else. I flew Manchester to Dublin with Ryanair on Thursday night. Everyone was queing at the gate, and they made an announcement for "Priority Bookings" to board the plane first. Nobody did, so 30 seconds later we all piled on!
It did occur to me that on some flights you may be paying to be the first onto the bus that takes you to the plane (and therefore one of the last to board it!).0 -
When waiting at the gate to board the plane, there are 2 seperate queue's. One for those who did the online check in priority boarding and one for those who haven't.
To be honest it is a waste of time because we have done the online check in a few times, got into our queue and then when the doors open everyone just pushes in our queue anyway and the stewards are too wimp to say a word even though people are complaining.
Anyone else had this experience? Our dream has come true...

Not necessarily MancBrel,
If you have only hand luggage, and pay for priority boarding online, this also entitles you to check in online.Gone ... or have I?0 -
MkWife,
I wouldn't be impressed if that happened to me! Whenever I have travelled the staff have stood in front of the non priority line to let the priority lot through first. The only time this was not the case was coming back from Marrakech, but somehow the priority people seem to have identified each other before boarding, and we all just barged in at the front of the queue ... as politely as possible of course! xGone ... or have I?0 -
Maybe its just the Luton to Dublin staff that have no backbone then because this has happened to us on 4 occasions to Dublin and back!!Our dream has come true...
