Just returned, got free coley did not have to buy any of the 5 fish on offer
Restricted to 1 transaction only
This offer is to run for a few weeks apparently0 -
just been to fish counter. I bought some cod and was asked to choose a piece of fish from a selection for free. Trouble is the cod is quite expensive so i'm not sure this is such a good deal after all!0

Just checked my receipt and he must have put the wrong code on the one I was purchasing as that was free too ! I scanned the free one first and that went through free so I believe it must just be free without a purchase!I'm sure this site makes me spend more than I save :think:0 -
You don't need to buy the original fish you asked for eg ask for cod and get coley. It is a replacement for the cod so totally freeSealed Pot Challenge #6010

Like others I bought some cod and it was only at the end when the guy mentioned the promotion and said I could choose any of the 5 on offer so I got some free mussels. I asked if I could get some of the loch trout free aswell if I bought another one of the 'big 5' but he said they were limited to one free portion per customer as they were anticipating a busy day.#39 - Save £12k in 20250

Hi all,
Just to let you know that we've been in touch with Sainsbury's this morning and it's confirmed that customers are under no obligation to purchase the original fish, so you can just have the free sample if you wish.
Remember though that you need to initially ask for one of the Big Five fish from the fish counter in order to be offered the freebie. See our write-up for full info.
Thanks
