Totally gross, but not as gross as the 6 weeks i worked whilst at uni in Maccy D's - you eat a bit of lube every time you have a milkshake!

Not true! The shake machine is stripped every night and cleaned. This is to stop the bug Criptosporidium developing. The machine is washed, sanitised and left to air dry. Before store opening it is put back together piece by piece. There are lots of small pieces and it can take 45minutes. The lube you mention is edible and harmless, it is just a gel to oil the machine and stop it sticking inside. When the machine is switched on, you have to flush shake mix through it for a while so technically no lube is dispensed after opening.

This. I used to work for McDs too - and was horrified when I had to take the machine apart of an evening or put it back together in the morning because it took FOREVEEEEEEEER.

Excuse me, how exactly will it go off if I said dump it in a fridge, when you go home isnt that exactly where you will put it, In the fridge, makes me laugh when people like you attempt to get on your high horse for no reason Lmao, I often see items from the fish counter in the fridges Lmao, would love if you came back and attempted to explain away your silly accusations LOL.

    I'm waiting.....

How can you 'lmao' twice? Surely once you've laughed and your !!!! fell off, you'd need to quickly grow a new one for it also to be laughed off?

If they find it in a fridge after a customer has handled it they can't just put it back on the fresh fish counter. Would you like a piece of fish that a customer has walked round the store and potentially contaminated (there are bad people in the world)? They'll have to dump it if they find it in a fridge.

It will be sealed with a price sticker and as long as it has no sign of being open, then it will be returned to the fish counter.

All food could be potentially contaminated in a supermarket! If someone picks up a loaf of bed from the bakers then put it on a different shelf, they don't just chuck it.

    :p

Completely out of context, but this reminds me that once I took a fresh loaf of bread from a shelf (at a supermarket) and a mouse jumped at me. That was nice! :P
Goal: Win a car (or cash to buy one :))! -- Haha goal from when I was a student. Never actually won this but got a good job instead.

    What I achieved:
    Car paid in full straightaway.
    Two properties fully paid. Wohhoooo!
  • just watch out for seaHORSE...contamination has gone through the roof!
No two ways about this one: Anything Free is not a Basic Right..it had to be earned...by someone, somewhere
