Ah I thought you meant entertainment exchange had a forum. My mistake. No wonder I couldn't find it
I have been on to giffgaffs forums a lot and they have been very helpful, as far as they can, as a few of them have BlackBerries with no problem at all. They haven't heard a thing like it and we have tried all sorts of things, as some of them are very techy to no avail.
Even the forum have said, its definitely a dodgy phone.0 -

Re CEX contact phone numbers, have you tried those mentioned in your other thread?0 -
However, it's Giffgaff that charges you 20p and it's still absolutely unclear what exactly they charge you for. It would be good to know this before blaming the phone.

Ooh I'll have to check the other thread, I wasn't aware they had a phone number!!
We actually think it is the phone, it doesn't appear to work with any english sim card in. My boyfriend had his giffgaff sim in which was working then he tried to ring my number and he said that the phone added on a +86 dialling code in front of my number and he got through to someone else, a man who wasn't me!!
I wonder if there's any way I can check if its blacklisted or something like that?0 -

Have any of your recipients ever received the texts that you sent?
Do you know what +86 means? It's China international code.
And surprise-surprise, giffgaff charge exactly 20p for texts to China.0 -
www.checkmend.com/uk you can check the imei on there for lost/blocked/stolen - will only report if done on uk or some eu networks though.0

BlackBerry handsets have the option to set a country and/or to automatically add a dialling prefix.
When you got the phone; you did reset it and reinstall it?0 -
Is it actually a real Blackberry or possibly a Chinese fake? Does everthing look and feel as it should or are there tiny little differences compared to the same model belonging to someone else?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
