Should I switch to NPower

Pay £218 a month dual fuel and having had solar panels fitted 11 months ago....................EON want to increase it to £246 a month !!!

Npower is coming out £300 cheaper annually on moneysupermarket and uswitch but they get a bad name on here.

I used 50,989 kwh of gas in the last year and 7,166kwh of electricity.

The same bill this time last year had me using 47413kwh of gas and 10862 kwh of electricity for the previous year.

Panels certainly seem to have improved things.

Should I change to the cheapest ?

So, your annual gas usage increased by 7.5% but electricity reduced by 34%. Given that electricity is around 3 times the price of gas per kWh, it's hard to see how they arrive at the new figure even with the inevitable unit price increases. However, what else are they considering? Does your account currently have a large debit balance when they are looking at zeroing it?
What do comparison sites say your current cost would work out at? Is it anything like E.On's figure?

See what figures you get and ask E.On to explain how they get theirs.

The choice is entirely yours - do you want the cheapest price or the best service. As you are aware seemingly Npower do not have the reputation of providing both

I guess, in light of the ongoing issues documented in

that it will take npower a long time to improve their rating.

Short version:
There are lots of people having problems switching to npower.

We now have evidence of knock on effects of the 'new system' affecting existing Customers too.
