BoilerJuice didn't turn up.

Paid extra for delivery today, never came.
I do hope they don't consider up until midnight tonight as Tuesday! What time would you consider to be today?
As their office hours are 5pm close, I think they've missed Tuesday, or am I too demanding?

  • You are not being too demanding. You paid for a service which you didn't receive and so contractually BJ are in the wrong. Of course stuff happens (eg. adverse weather) and there may be a genuine reason why they couldn't deliver but they could have called you to let you know. Might be worth checking if they have something in their T&C's around this sort of circumstance.

I'd give them a polite but firm call tomorrow and let them know you are disappointed having paid extra, were inconvenienced etc and then ask them what they are proposing to do about it.

Thanks. Even if it came now, I don't consider it being a Tues delivery which is what I paid an extra £20 plus for. Might as well have put down for Wed.
Tank is empty, heating one room. Heard a truck earlier, put heating on in the rest of the ground floor only to see it was a removal lorry next door. Damn, and turned it off again.

Still, lived @5 degrees till now, so another day?

Flippin cheek, "may not refund difference if due to bad weather."

The bad weather was already here when I placed the order, why should the customer pay? There was also a huge removals lorry here yesterday without any problems.

If I pay extra and it doesn't arrive, no matter what the reason I should be refunded. £20's a lot from pension credit.

Nope SEE, they haven't. The contract is with WCF, not heard of them until I read the confirmation today.

I'm of the mind to point boiler juice to my postings, I'll give it another hour.

Terrible service. Have you got other fires to keep you warm?

It's all underfloor heating over three floors, big house and the South facing is mostly glass so very cold without heating.

Just rang boilerjuice, already gone home. Referred them to this thread on answerphone. I'm furious and can't even find a local depot for WCF. They seem to be in the NE, which is a long way from me.

Have read Boilerjuice T+Cs. They won't want to know, so please read before using them or recommending them.

An email will be sent from me to the Village, explaining the poor service.

I have the family room and kitchen heated, but too scared to use hot water. An open fire in the main body of the house, which was for looks only to burn logs, but freezing so will stay here.

Hope you got your "HELP" problem solved. Didn't understand your question, let alone help with an answer.

    Thank Heaven for electric blankets.
  • I hope they've delivered now and refunded you or offered some discount for the inconvenience? It must be cold beyond belief :(

Do keep us updated, if at all possible, since I'm really interested to know what happens in these circumstances.

Electric blankets are good, but don't forget hot water bottles as back-up in a power cut. If you have a log stove/burner get a large dutch pot as well. Many a time I've cooked a good meal in mine when the power went down.
