My son has an xbox360 in his room and due to the set up in the house with the telephone cables I cant connect it directly to the router so I need a wireless adapter. I have a router which although fine downstairs it doesnt seem to have a very good range for the signal on it but that may be the house as its a big old house. That said though it does allow me to use the wifi upstairs on an internet radio so long as the router is in an exact position. Anyway what I want to know is if theres a difference in the adapters available. I have looked and I have come across 2, one with one antenna and another 'N' networking adapter that promises better speeds with 2 antennas. Is there a difference or one I need to get specifically to go with the router or can I get any.
Thanks in advance for any advise.

Do you want wireless specifically.
powerline or Homeplugs would be ideal, one plug goes next to router with ethernet cable attached and the other plus goes upstairs next to xbox with ethernet cable to xbox.Mansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
yes I want wireless0

Just to check
you do have the older 360,and not the newer smaller units with wifi built in?
As said,I would prefer a homeplug with a choice0 -
its an xbox 360 elite. hes had it about 4 years now so its not the newer one with wifi built in. I dont want more plugs and wires in his room as with the projector and speakers etc its bad enough as it is.0

The why not the wifi homeplugs option.
Same as before, 1 plug near router with cable. Other plug is wifi so no cable attachedMansion TV. Avoid at all cost's :j0 -
oh my router isnt an N router so is it pointless getting a N adapter or should I get one anyway ready for when I change my router?
I dont want more plugs or wires. Its an old house with not many plug points and were already using extension cables and multiple adapters. Even with the wifi home plugs I sill still need a cable from it to the xbox.
I want a wireless adapter for the xbox hence asking which one I should get. I already know what I want and I just need to know which one.0
