Vodafone Data Charges Abroad
I nearly passed out when I received my latest bill.
£608 - £389 of which was for 1 weeks of general data use while on holiday in chamonix.
I was not advised that the cost of 1mb of data varied between £5 - 10.
This useage was exceptionally & I was not informed that this bill was going to be so high....!!
I have complained to vodafone, but they will not reduce the bill!! I think they are failing in their "duty of care" towards informing me that the data charges were so high!!
Can anyone please help

Hi opendale1 and welcome to the forum :hello:
I've got to say, that's a mighty high bill (even without the data usage) but you'll be lucky to get any sort of reduction, and legally, I think it's safe to say you haven't got a leg to stand on.
You can't expect Vodafone to inform you personally what their data roaming charges are (and how were they to know you were going to Chamonix?). Their duty of care is towards their customers as a whole and they have an obligation to publish their tariffs, so it's down to you to do your homework in advance and ask them what their data roaming charges are, or go online and find out for yourself (you can't just ASSUME what you think they might be !):

I think the best you can hope for is if you persist, they might lop a bit off your bill as a goodwill gesture, but other than that, it's a case of an expensive lesson learnt.
