I've been with plusnet for broadband for ages and am happy with them. I am currently with BT for phone and would like to economise by swapping everything to Plusnet - can I take advantage of the current cheap deals or won't they let me because I already have broadband?
Anyone else done this please?

Have searched the plusnet site, and it appears not.....usual thing these days - only brand new customers get the good deals - so I will be moving providers to Tesco for both phone and broadband and Plusnet lose a good customer and considerable goodwillDownshifted

Why not phone Plusnet retentions and ask if they will offer you a deal.0

Plusnet to Tesco...not a good move.
How do you know what they will offer if you haven't asked them?No free lunch, and no free laptop

Apparently I can't have Tesco through my exchange anyway....and I have asked PlusNet via their on line query form for current customers. There is a 15 minute response time - and it's now 2 hours later.....I think I have my answer! I am now looking at BTDownshifted

Maybe a bit of patience, may be worth waiting for for an answer, hope you like Indian call centres who read from a script when anything goes wrong, still the choice is yours.0 -
Thank you for your comments - you may be right - patience is not a virtue I am familiar with :-(
But we have recently bought a new TV with internet access - and having looked into it now it seems I can get Infinity and the download speeds would be much better - I guess I have changed the goalposts from maximising value to maximixing performance.Downshifted

I changed to Plusnet in October via TCB as they were offering new customers £38 to sign up with them and BT were putting the price up as my contract had finished. Big mistake; poor customer service and no cashback. Will not stay with them next year.0

I use Plusnet and have recieved excellent customer service as have many others.;)
The Cashback is paid by TCB not Plusnet. Plenty of warnings on this site saying its not guaranteed.
It was only recently you were moaning about BT.:D0 -

If you can get Infinity you should normally be able to get Plusnet Fibre Broadband at a good price.

I had BT for phone for about 2 decades and broadband from Plusnet for 3 years. (Very happy with service by the way) Last week I rang and changed my phone to Plusnet and paid a year in advance (works out at £10.49 a month but I could have paid £13.99 a month which is still cheaper than BT) I was paying £11.49 a month for download of 60 gb and they were more than happy to change this to the unlimited for £4.99 a month though I was not a new customer. The difference is that I was not tied in before but now I pay £4.99 a month for 12 months, then £9.99 for the following 6 months. I was told this would not be an issue if I decide later to upgrade to fibre. I get more for less so I am happy!! Give them a ring as i find them really easy to talk to and I am total techno numpty!!:D0
