Hey everyone, I'm still here
Brizzle, no I don't have the bag completely packed yetI did make a start at the weekend, but haven't got a clue what to take really. I've made an effort though. Baby's sorted though!
Hope you slept better DDFW, I've had a couple of rubbish nights too.
As for me, not too much going on really. I managed to persuade DH to clear a few boxes over the weekend so that's given some more stuff to charity, some more for booting and some more for ebaying :T
Last Thursday I had intentions of doing a load of listing, but came down to discover that the puppy had eaten something, and promptly covered the whole floor with vomit and poo _pale_ So I had to clear the front room and get the carpet cleaner out. That was incredibly hard work and I could have done without it! But I do have a nice clean carpet now and it was something I've been wanting to do for ages so it was worth it in the end. I wasn't up for anything after that though after moving loads of piles of magazines.
I've had a couple of sales on ebay and sold another 3 books, so that's good :T I had to refund one that didn't turn up which is annoying but it was only low value so not the end of the world. The buyer was very nice and patient though so that makes a huge difference.
I'm struggling with finances this month, there's a lot going on. I'm struggling with ebay as I want to list stuff but I'm worried that if I go into labour I won't be able to post promptly. So I've got no real way of getting any extra cash. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed that I manage to get something done after baby arrives.
Off to the midwife this morning, please send positive vibes so I don't get sent for monitoring again!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
*positive vibes* sent to you jwil
Thats a shame it took so much effort cleaning the carpet but as you say the good thing was you got something out of the way that you wanted to do :T
Listings - its a bit of a difficult one really - i know what you mean abiut wanting to post promptly - would you list the items and pack them as you list them ? Then if anything sells its just a matter of someone dropping them in at the post office for you ?
sorry to hear that finances are tough - i'm the same - i don't think there's enough money in the bank to even cover transport to work for the month  and i have a bill to pay too  it looks like i'll need to borrow the money but that'll mean playing catch up *again* out of end of this months wages and struggling throughout march - gah!
Let us know how you go on today hon xCC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Thanks for the positive vibes DDFW - they worked :T My midwife thinks that the high results the last couple of times are from the fact they are using the wrong sized cuff so there's nothing to worry about
She also said, 'I'll see you in 2 weeks if you haven't already had it by then'
The problem with the listings is that if someone buys more than one item, then it's the whole combined postage etc. Also, there's only DH to do it, and whilst I'm hoping that everything will go smoothly, there's no guarantee it will so I don't want to rely on it. He's not computer literate so would really struggle with paypal postage etc as well.
I'm continually playing catch up as well at the moment, it's not working very well. Hence wanting to get on with things.
I guess I can always put scheduled listings on and then upload them as soon as practically possible after the birth, it will save me time then doing the listing."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". NewLeaf - I know, that's creeping up surprisingly fast! I can't believe how soon it will be."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Hey everyone, hope you are all well
Having a busy weekend doing some decluttering. Also got a fair pile to list on ebay so will be keeping legs crossed and hoping baby stays put for another week at least! 2 weeks today is my due date
It's my last week at work this week, got lots to complete, but am looking forward to it now though. I think I made the right decision in staying as late as I have despite being very uncomfortable now. I'd only be uncomfortable at home!
Hope everyone is having a good weekend."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
