Have you got some fat? If so, you could make some biscuits. If there is any yeast around how about a pizza? Make the base with flour and yeast, then use the passata, tuna and cheese on top.
I know you said no sausages, but you could open them up and roll into meatballs, cover with passata and serve on pasta.
Hope this helps!:TI Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!0 -
Eggs
Milk
Potatoes
Oh, and the addicts would be having to go cold turkey and drink water if they were thirsty.
You've only got three dinners left. Tuna pasta with veg, jacket potatoes and sausages with potatoes.
No sweet stuff, it won't kill them.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
Please don't try to flush your wetwipes down the toilet - these are notorious for blocking drains - not even sure if Xmas Napkins would be flushable either :undecided. If you can possibly spare the cash, try to get a pack of 4 cheapie toilet rolls.
I'd be checking for whoopsies - especially bread, milk, potatoes and eggs. Best time is from around 4.00-6.00 pm. Any later than that and prices have really gone down BUT the best of them have well and truly been snapped up.
If your family will drink tea instead of coffee, even IF they prefer coffee, I'd not bother about getting any. When 'needs must' - sometimes we just have to forego the treats.
Friday isn't that far away - and quite honestly, you could buy Friday's evening meal out of the Payday income. ............. or promise them a takeaway on condition that they 'pull their belts in' for a couple of days.0 -
we found 1 stray toiliet roll:)
Its me that hates sausages and dont eat them
rest of family dont mind but whole sausage week might wear a bit thin.
waset going to flush the wipes know they block.
yes think eggs potatoes and milk best.
hes however come home
bag oven chips
bread
bourban biscuits.
needs to go back later and get 50p basic coffee.
will try sell some stuff and get some eggs.
Im think hm pizza later and spag bol.
can make load bread
shortbread as so no eggs needed.
found some raisens maybe bread and butter pudding as we have custard and icecream.
we do reductions so possibly try do that later. If can sell few things.
Just been here before and wondered fivers not much,
How do you stretch and get value from a fiver?
we lucky e had well stocked store cupboard.
if starting from scratch we might be stuck.
Im enjoying water latly.pad by xmas2010 £14,636.65/£20,000::beer:

None too bright, is he?
Oven chips and biscuits?
Don't waste your last 50p on a drink to have the biscuits with. Spend it on something you can feed your children with.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
hilstep's pizza idea is a good one. You could make tuna pasta bake using your passata & frozen veg or a risotto with the rice, onions & chesse & any other veggies.0

I admire your openness in the situation that you are finding your self in.
It seems as if your really do have a lot to deal with trying to sort out where to get supplies from with a very limited budget.
I am sure that you may have already done the following but thought that you could.
Look down the back of the sofa/chairs.
Check any old purses wallets.
Look in to the kids money boxes on the proviso that anything borrowed is returned.
Order a take away from a home delivery service with paypal or use a cheque if acceted.
Borrow a tenner from friend relative.
Use a credit card if absolutly stuck.
Not sure if that is any use but feel that it really is a difficult situation.
I have been let down by delivery services and really have been left high and dry.
I found a pack of cuppa souops and have been eting them with a pack of ginger nuts until I am able to get supplies. Which i have been promised will be later to day. Here s hoping.
Having a family can be a larger burden and worry that I think some MSE s dont really relate to if you are in a difficult position.
Keep your chin up hope it comes right for you.

People have given some really good ideas.
My last fiver would probably be:
toilet rolls (if we had none) £1.00
Tub of dried milk £1.00 (bearable for a few days in coffee/drinks and i quite like it made up over cereal) - should last much longer than the few days so would help next time too (unless you are a family of cereal munchers!)
Cheapest bread I can find (if hm not possible)
Coffee if deemed that people can't live without it or tea if they would drink that for a few days (cheaper - bout 30p for a box of tea bags)
Dinners, you have a few options:
skin a few sausages and turn in to with some diced onion patties have with bread
cook and slice/dice some sausages and make pasta bake with pasta and pasata with veggies in
Tuna pasta bake
Cheese on toast
Sausage sandwiches
It might feel a bit samey for a couple of days but it is only a few days!
Whilst its snowy/bit carp outside spend some time in the kitchen and bake some biscuits (get fat out of the £5 if you don't have any)************************************

Added to Faith's post. Have you any vouchers that could be used for something necessary (don't let OH look
) ? Have you any loyalty cards with points on them that could help pay towards shopping?
