Police have been back in touch and Active Securitys are saying that the account was accessed from an i.p address in Manchester and that i.p address was the one to change the address to the threat. The information my police force have will be transfered to GMP so they can investigate further..

So it's easy appentley for the company to say it's not us, someone else did it... if there as low as to post a threat like that then surely they can falsify information to put off the police? coincidence that I just recieved an email from 247 Moneybox about a password reset even though I haven't requested one

Noddle have just phoned me to confirm that they have recieved my complaint and wanted to ensure I have a copy of the offending text before they removed it. They confirmed that everything further would be in writing and the their Client Service team will speak to ActiveSsecurities Ltd and that because I have made the it a formal complaint their complaints team will be in touch, but it will be removed from my file ASAP

I'm not going to be actively seeking any compensation, but won't turn down any goodwill gestures

I'll be happy with the following outcomes:

Assurances from CallCredit/Noddle that there can be no re-occurances of companys being allow to enter this type of information for anyone account not just my own.

The person responsible is put forward so they can be held accountable for prosecution.

The company is held accountable for the Threat regardless if its just turns out to be an employee. I feel the company should be held accountable for their employees actions.

Personally, I think this is an excellent cautionary tale against using PDLs. If anyone was every in doubt about their business practices, this would soon dispell any myths.

It really doesn't matter how or why it was put there. It is a crime and if Noddle have let their server be hacked then they have an issue.
It really is down to the police to act as it is clearly a threat on your life.
If someone can be given prison time for ranting on twitter then ...

There is a case for compensation be it either Noddle for letting it happen or for 247 for letting someone enter those details.

Compensation is for financial loss, which hasn't occurred here. Hope you get to the bottom of it OP.

If you trip over on the pavement you can get compensation for pain and suffering, or are you just playing with words

I wish they would put that on one of mine. I would milk it for every penny. Morals and standards do not apply to the banking / debt collection industry in my humble opinion. They have exempted themselves.

Absolutely disgusting and I wanted to comment to say I agree with those here who have advised you to contact the media, I would hope there's an appetite for stories about people being focused and commited to face up to debt and having to put up with that, it makes me think that if they are going to treat you like that, then how many others have similar shockers?
