Brrrr! No real snow here, odd flurry, but cold wind.

My new group of work kids started today. It didn't start well when 2 didn't turn up (one however was in hospital, the other though couldn't be bothered to get up!) and we had to remove one as we were informed of a reason why he can't take part in the programme (which we should have been told of in advance but weren't ). But the 9 that we had seemed lovely and seemed to enjoy the day. I hadn't met a few of them as they were recruited when I was off sick. But we had some laughs and enjoyed the day.

I left early though as I had hospital check up at 3pm. The surgeon put the camera up my nose to check how I was healing and then sucked out some of the scarring!!!! It took awhile and was a bit sore, but they used a anaesthetic spray so not too bad. I'm healing well, but need to go back in 4wks for further check up. I've been giving some steroid nasal spray to use.

I was naughty and called in the chippy on the way home, I was too tired to contemplate anything else.

OS wise - freezer meal taken for lunch today, need to get something out for lunch tomorrow.

    Have a good evening all

Am waiting for DD to get home from work to heat up dinner, mince and tatties, just the thing for the chill!
Have tried to stay busy today to keep the tears at bay, so have washed, dried and ironed DDs new bedding, stripped and remade her bed, shortened, ironed and hung some curtains in her room, taken 3 black bags of clothes from DS room to CS , ordered DS a new bed as the slatted base of his is breaking, filled a bag of OHs shirts for CS, and looked on ikea website for a new wardrobe and chest of drawers for DS room. Looked at the bedroom furniture in the bed shop, as my room needs gutted too, but very pricy and it was all flat pack too, so big blue shed for DS and will have a think about my room, might get a fitted wardrobe made, will see how it goes as the walls need plastered and it will need decorated and a carpet too, so not in a great hurry for the guddle! Our room was planned for this year, we will see, have lived with it a bombsite for so many years that a nice tidy bedroom will be a lot to take in!
Right, enough rambling from me, off to see if DD is in sight, I'm hungry!!!
    Stay safe and warm all!

    evening all,

congratulations Hester, huge hugs a new little life bless.

life back to normal here as snows gone, met up with friend for coffee in dunelm, and she had bought me lovely present for my birthday , small bottle of cava and truffles and a tealight holder with my name so was thrilled.

bought some wool wo make dd a hat and scarf for school as she loved her other one, lol she has made a design and is very intrested, I love crafts so it would be nice if we had that in common. Hobbycraft had wool on 3 for 2 so got some chunky knit wool so plan is to make a waistcoat from it.

Tea was lovely id used the leftover beef from sun to make satay beef with onions and mushrooms and popped in slow cooker and it was v v tender, and made some rice and poppudum, no complaints so will make again.

dd has karate so peace for 5 mins to catch up on here.

    well huge hugs xxx

Cold day here but no snow after about 9 and then it was very sleety. Washing on airers and that's about it housework wise.

Ozzie visitors have gone back to Yorkshire, gave them plenty of supplies for their journey just in case they got stuck but they didn't have any problems until they got to the bottom of the hill - the car is still there and they had to walk!

Nothing doing tonight so just going to chill and catch up with some tv.

    Congrats Hester, lovely news!
Bitsy - Chin up lovey, hope your spirits lift soon.
Jools - Big hugs to you.

    Take care. XX

    Evening

Snow gone from here, pouring with rain as I came home from work, doesnt feel any warmer though.
HH congrats, how lovely a new baby in the family.
Jools, good to keep busy, dont overdo it though.
Karren you have made me feel like knitting again, will have to search out needles etc, my sister is expecting a baby soon, might have a go at a little something.
OS WM been on, have borrowed a dehumidifier as have damp problem which think might be linked to blocked gutters but cant do anything about them at the mo, read that they can help dry washing too, so am giving it a try, has to be better than have tumbler on. Lunch was soup and HM cake, dinner is one of Jamies chicken recipes that DS made and we froze half of. DW not full so not gone on. Vacuumed downstairs and washed kitchen floor, must tackle dust in living room tomorrow. u
Another breakthrough with DD, she has gone from never having anything to wear... to listing some clothes she doesnt wear on ebay, should raise a bit of money for her. Have told her she can have all the jiffy bags I got my christmas shopping in (through cashback sites obviously) to send them off in. Was going to send her little treats parcel, willl add them.
