    Good morning everyone.

Looks like we had the very faintest fall of snow overnight.

The main roads are fine. DH has gone to work, as with most people it's the first 100 yards and last 100 yards of any journey that's the problem.

He's taken my car to work, as it always seems to get a better grip on snowy surfaces - his car seems to have more wheel spin on icy surfaces.

So I'm home for the day, only need to go to the Post Office to send some parcels, and I always walk if at all possible, so no problem.

I've got vacuuming, dusting and some ironing to do. Dinner will be the other half of chilli con carne, so not much cooking required today.

    Have a good day

PS. JackieO glad your daughter enjoyed her new job

    Morning everyone

Feeling stressed today :( feel I a living life in limbo right now and I hate it :o I realise my problems aren't as bad as some but just feel thoroughly fed up :o DS was in a major stress this morning about going back to school and H being away. I am worrying about H travelling with all this snow and ice.

All I am doing today is housework. It's a tip, no matter how I try I cannot keep it as tidy as it needs to be.
No idea what's for tea as I don't even know if H is coming home this eve.

Sorry !!!!!! all OS, will try and do better tomorrow. Sorry for whinging :o

Hugs and spoons all round xxx

Candy sorry to hear about your loss RIP Carol
Taplady I suffer with mouth ulcers a lot, warm salty water seems to help
JackieO glad your dd is enjoying her job x

Early start for us this morning picking my parents up from the airport, no problems at Manchester and they landed safe and sound.
Feeling really fed up and worried about money. Dh is really quiet and ive not had any agency work yet so don't know how we are going to pay the bills this month, absolutely no idea:(
At least the cupboards are full. Last nights tea was chilli and enough to freeze half for another meal.
Sorry for the moany post, I know there are people much worse off,
Will return when I'm feeling more positive.
Keep safe and warm J x

  • Just did a couple of yummy bacon rolls for my lovely builder as this morning as I was getting the snow off the car for the school run he turned up and bless him sent me indoors to put the kettle on whilst he removed all the snow and ice from my car (it hadn't moved since Friday so it was like an igloo :):)) what a gentleman I shall miss him when he finishes this afternoon.
Just about to nip round and let Dds dogs out for a quick wibble,The little Jack Russell Lexi hates this weather poor little mite she is only tiny little dog and stands and looks so soulful when she gets turfed out for a wee.She is in season at the moment so walking her isn't on the cards at the moment .The big dopey dog Ollie has a thick coat so he's not bothered at all.
he is a cross lab/shepard and getting rather old and lazy at times and a small doggy treat is the only way to get him out of the door to the garden.
Its thawing a little at the moment but still a bit on the nippy side
Watch the ice chums, falling over isn't the problem its the sudden landing that hurts :):):)
    Cheers JackieO xxx

Bitsy (((HUG))) mate; I worry about Mr LW's 30-mile journey to work, too, with this weather. All we can do is have faith in their driving ability, and ask whatever deities that care to listen to keep the eejits out of the way.:o
Can your DH text you if he's going to be home for dins? That way you have a chance to think of something to make.

We're having nut loaf with rice and HM sweet'n'sour sauce with pineapple chunks tonight.

I just heard a noise outside, and when I looked, a great load of snow had fallen off the top of the little greenhouse - it's just one of those frames with a plastic cover over, so to call it a "greenhouse" is a bit pretentious, but I don't know what else to call it.:D Hopefully though, that means the dratted stuff is starting to thaw.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Afternoon All. Time I popped in to see how everyone's doing...
We've had snow on the ground for just over a week now, although it got deeper last weekend! The dogs love bounding around in it, so at least they are happy!
I've developed a real streamer of a cold, although am feeling a bit better today than yesterday, so hopefully well on the mend. DH just returned from having his chemo line flushed out...five sessions done, seven to go - roll on the end of April.
have managed to clean the kitchen properly today, but not feeling like doing much more...
HM chill this evening I think. Lunch was bacon butties to use up the bacon which had just expired. Am avoiding going out as much as possible - very good for the bank balance, and like many, we have plenty of food sitting in the freezer!
Do take care of yourselves, and wrap up warm if you have to venture ouside!
