• I emailed them already in the beginning of February. Would this be considered as complaint in writing so that I can escalate furter?

It depends if you did it as a complaint. Good old snail mail is the best way.

I have a problem too with NPOWER bills. They are really annoying me now. We moved to our new house November 2012 and 6 months later - we still have not received our first bill. We keep phoning them and they always seem to have a technical fault!!!! Running out of patience with them. Any advise?!?!?!
6 months from November is May ;)
Some nPower tariffs only bill once every 6 months I understand.
• A family friend has been waiting since October last year for a correct bill, still waiting. Formal letter of complaint was sent.

Make sure when sending a formal letter of complaint that it is send recorded, just so it doesn't get 'lost'.

Fair enough - HOWEVER this forum has many many posters who have serious issues with NPower (including myself) that the company are simply not dealing with.

People need all the help they can get to deal with the constant worry that NPower are causing so I hope as many people as possible get hold of Mr Pickles and give him a really hard time....

I'm also going to raise yet another complaint with NPower. Having found my latest bill doesn't even add up I checked the previous one, and that didn't either although the difference was not much. I found basic maths wrong such as the number of units used not matching the total at the end of the billing period minus the total at the start. The calculation of my opening and closing balance was way off with the numbers not adding up, as was the calculation to work out my new payment where again, they don't add up. This is basic stuff and NPower should not be able to get away with issuing bills that don't even add up! When I spoke to them they tried to assure me the end result was correct but I'm putting up with just accepting a wrong bill.

Hi green_pepper,

Some of our tariffs only have 6-monthly billing, so this may be why you haven't yet received a bill.

I can take a look at your account for you, if you can send me the details to forumresponse@npower.com?

Many thanks,

Adam :)

GRRRR Npower. They have just issued me a second bill 1 month since my last bill, bear in mind I pay quarterly! The previous bill was 2 months late, so now they want another payment of £319 where last month I paid £326. I'm going to ask them to give me more time as I don't think its fair to pay £640 odd quid within such a short space of time.

Is that bill based on estimated or actual readings?
