Neighbour has Pitch Fibre drain pipe

Currently looking at buildings & contents insurance policies for a house I'm about to buy. My ceramic drain pipe runs into the neighbour's, who has pitch fibre drain pipes. The house sits in a row of 5 terraced houses, 4 including my house is upstream and use the same pipe, which then drains into the public sewer, or at least a drain which maintained by the water provider.
Am I correct in thinking that if the pipe blocks or collapses, then it's equal responsibility for all 5 houses (or relevant insurance poicy) to pay equally to resolve the issue?
I've seen that a number of policies exclude coverage for pitch fibre, Halifax, Axa, MoreThan, Swift Cover. to name a few
I'm currently looking at Endsleigh and Barclays, to the best of my knowledge neither exclude coverage fo pitch fibre - is that correct or is excluded in a round about way e.g. normal wear and tear? Does this still apply if it's the neighbours responsibility?
The neighbour has seemingly built a conservatory over the pitch fibre pipes, so it will be expensive if trouble springs.

There was a changeover a few years ago and any shared drains which run into public sewers are the responsibility of the water board now - so if you have sole use of your section, that is your responsibility, the remainder of the drain is the water boards responsibility (see here)0
