Hi all back in may/june my husband (who is on contract with vodafone mobile) was contacted by Business Phones Direct (who stated they were vodafone direct) offering him a Nokia Lumia and an Ipad for £35/ month for 2nd line sounded great so took it out for our son. When parcel arrived completely wrong phone so he phoned vodafone to complain and was then told contract wasn't with them but platinum partner (BPD) parcel sent back to them next day which they confirmed but oh no was then charged for it every month, which he then had to phone vodafone every month to say don't have phone so not paying for it but paid for own mobile, was told constantly problem was sorted but was still being billed for 2nd phone didn't have, then in september husbands father died in hospital he tried to use his phone to let family know to find vodafone had cut off his mobile. Contacted them next day in bits to be told he hadn't paid bill for 2nd line he doesn't have. Now not allowed to renew contract as complained too much can you believe it.:mad:

If somebody phones me out of the blue with any kind of offer, I tell to whistle, same as door knockers. I'm sure your husband is a wise man, he seeks out the deals to suit him, not wait for somebody to call him/ knock the door with an offer, you both know it makes sense.0

Id never take out something from the back of somone just ringing up, I would have checked with vodafone etc
I was with vodafone for 12 years, complete waste of time, lairs!!0 -
What's the point of a poll for this thread? Especially from a 1st time poster (well under that screen name) I don't use Voda, but I do think it's unfair the slander post as they have done nothing wrong in this case.0

You issue is with BPD who sold you the contract and where you have your account, all Vodafone are responsible for is providing the airtime on behalf of BPD.
You should not have accepted the offer on the basis of a cold call, you should have googled the company and checked it out with Vodafone.
Complaining would not be a reason for being refused a second line, it more likely because the second line is in default.0 -
Problem is vodafone gave BPD my husbands details in the first place and vodafone kept on billing for 2nd line no longer had and kept on saying they had sorted it when they hadn't. Only got sorted after they cut off husbands phone when his father died, miraculously. And yes can't renew contract as he phoned them too often to complain regarding it all.0

Hi crossindunkeld,
It's a shame to read about your husband's experience here but thanks for making me aware of it.
If he'd like me to take a closer look at things he's welcome to email me with his details via the link in our profile here?
All he needs to do is copy and paste the link into his web browser and it will take him to the Contact us form on our website.
To ensure that it reaches me could he also quote the code WRT135 - MSE in the subject line and once our automated reply arrives could you update the thread with his email reference number and I'll get back to him as soon as possible?
Thanks,
Lee
