example - if you used 3 x £20 cards to pay off a £50 balance, would it leave £10 on the card or would it let you add the extra £10 to your account for future spending?
I've overpaid accounts by bank transfer and cheque and the extra balance has always gone onto my account. If you were doing this ina store you could ask for the £10 to remain on the gift card, otherwise I think it would be a credit on your account.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Went in my local and picked up 10 x £20 Next gift cards (I cleared the rack!!)
The till assistants only knew about it from an earlier customer. The assistant said they too had to ring up head office. They had no code or nothing - the customer referred them to this website!!
It took about 20mins to do it though as the cards were playing up.
She asked if I was treating myself - I just said yes although they are to help pay off my account balance from all the "treats" I got in the VIP sale!:o
I do think that the head office have a duty to inform managers at stores though of weekly offers and promotions.0 -

You can either use full value of gift card or put in what denomination you want taken off. (There's a tick box for full value) So you could just take £10 off last and leave £10 on the gift card. That's online, I presume they could do same in store
I've just bought 2 x £20 Next ones and just paid them off my account. Need a few more to pay off my balance though!
Bought 2 x £10 Claires ones to use in the sale also to buy birthday pressies.
I had the deputy manager serve me in argos and she knew about it and to do my transaction in two lots as I had different denominations. Took a while as cards wouldn't scan. Thanks very much OP x0 -

You can mix and match, as long as they are either both £20 or both £10 vouchers.0 -

Just a heads up that the Pizza Express £20 can be used in conjunction with the current 40% off voucher code :money:.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Be careful buying claires vouchers unless you are going to use them straight away as the one in the shopping center near me closed down just a couple of days ago and near had a closing down sign in the window0
