They are appear to be an advisory firm who are unable to hold client money (like most advisory firms). So, they probably use providers just like most advisers. Some providers allow white labelling where the adviser company name appears on it.

  • do not! repeat do not have anything to do with either sanderson clarke and or henley retirement benefit firms! I have made that mistake and am still suffering. Sanderson Clarke make promises they cannot keep and Heneley will delay, delay, delay and further delay for no good reason any form of customer support. I have dealt with Sanderson Clarke since before Christmas 2012, they told me my 25% pension would be with me by march 2013. I am still waiting and have no firm timescale as to when I can expect my cheque and its now 12th July 2013! I do not trust either of these companies and would under no circumstances give any recommendations to anyone to deal with them! You have been warned.

the plan seems superficially to be wonderful, howevere the company is at best non existant in customer care and at worst the hold onto your beneifts with delaying tactics and customer ignoring tactics. They say you can check your own account online at their site, I asked about this and was told they are working on the IT side of things, oh this was only 3 months ago and we know how long it takes to do anything online. I do not trust them and at my first option date I will remove my pension fund and place it with a company who actually care more about their clients than their fees!!!
  • hi , i know this thread is over 2 months old , can you tell me how you got on with sanderson Clarke over your pension , as they no longer trade and I am concerned because they unlocked my frozen pension and now they cannot be contacted

Sounds like illegal pension liberation- you could lose all the money and still have to pay HMRC a 55% tax penalty?

They also made clear that this is NOT the same as any other company with the name Henley in it.

In particular, Henley Retirement Planning is nothing to do with it.

As far as I am aware, apart from the word "Henley" the only other thing they have in common is that they are not clients of my firm.

The genuine firm must be the one I looked up on the FCA register.

Hopefully, the OP didnt go on to complete the liberation.

Hi BishBash, I am looking into how firms who misrepresent themselves as pension management firms, like Henley Retirement Benefits get occupational pensions converted to SIPPs and transferred to their control. If they are not registered by the FCA how do they get the consent of the SIPP organiser/administration company, which must be registered, to receive an individual's lump sum? Cheers, Peter
