Alton Towers - How busy on a weekday?

I think during the week it's pretty quiet - it was when I went to Blackpool pleasure beach which is the same sort of scene.

I know a few people who went at the same time as each other, and this was a weekend - so I'd say that's when the busiest time will be. Bank Holiday Mondays as well.

Myself and my friends always take 2 days off work in the 2nd week of September usually a tues/wed or wed/thurs to go to altons towers. 1 day in the water park, then stay at a nearby travelodge (rooms for as little as £15 at the mo) then go to the theme park the day after getting there really early!

The queues rarely exceed 10mins and are no longer than 30mins.

There will be hardly any queues this early in the season on a weekday. In fact the place will be deserted as it is too early for school trips.

I expect the 1st 2 weeks of July will be when everybody will be on their school/college holidays.
