Need a copy of Windows 7 - really struggling!

Hi all,

Last year, I bought a laptop with Windows 7.
Me being me, and being a smart-A555, I upgraded a few weeks ago to Windows 8, for their offer of a tenner or whatever.
It soon became apparent that Windows 8 aint good with a laptop - I'm not one to slag off MS, as I've enjoyed their products for years, even quite liked Vista, but 8 is awful to use with a none touch screen - didn't work with Citrix, discovered things like no native DVD plyer, couldn't find the 'switch off' key, etc.

I have a Win 7 license on my laptop, so thought I'd bite the bullet and go back to it, as it is a superb op sys. Couldn't get the software off MS, so went to a shop, who gave me a copy of professional - TBH I didn't know the difference.
I wasn't trying to rip anyone off, as was going to use the license I paid fair and square for.
Now it's asking me for the license or I#ll not get the features of Windows (whatever that means) - I've tried the one that's stuck to the laptop, but I suspect that that is a none pro license, where I've installed pro.
So my whole half day spent installing it could be lost!

Help, I really need to try to get this working - not bothered about using Pro or not, just a copy of 7 that works with mhy license!

The label should tell you what version of win7 the licence is for

Thnaks - home Premium then - where could I get that, and would it mean writing over everything I've done?

There's a file on the disc by the name of ei.cfg. If you can create installation media without it, you may install 'your' version without further difficulty.

Tools:

• ImgBurn or similar
• ei.cfg Removal Utility

You cant downgrade from Win 8, so you would need a fresh install of win 7 home premium

Yeah, this I did, but it looks like I've put pro on, when I have a prem license.

well he can install SP1 and then just use the windows update feature to update the SP

if you need to purchase home premium this is the cheapest i have found apart from looking at ebay

that was just 1 , search google and sever are selling at the same price

I ran a WHOIS lookup too. In any case, we need physical media rather than a licence key sans COA.
