I had one of each. Girl first, boy second. Bloomed with my daughter. Didn't look pregnant till 6 months. Sick the whole time with my son, could only eat Farleys Rusks! Had easy births with both tho, 4hours first one, 3hours 20 minutes with second.
However, my daughter was an angel, my son was a little b*****
Only improved when he went to playgroup! Now it's the other way round, daughter causes me grief, son is a darling!
    Kids.......who'd ave 'em?:rotfl:

With my DD now 5 i had a really easy stress free pregnancy apart from feeling faint occasionally, even the labour was straight forward.
With my DS now 3 i was ok for the first 3 months, then i constantly felt sick, had headaches braxton hicks almost daily etc etc till the end! Then i went into labour quickly and ended up having ds on the sofa!

But i would go through BOTH pregnancy's all over again in a heartbeat. I loved being pregnant sick or not. x :D
In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different. ;)

I hate to say it, but I think that pregnancy can just be harder the older we are. (Not that I'm suggesting you're old!)

I had truly horrendous pregnancies with both my boys and could never go through it again. (My pulse was 160bpm the day I had my second. I'm not sure my heart could take it.) I don't think it matters whether it's a boy or a girl. Sometimes pregnancy just sucks. But the end result is pretty wonderful!

Hi Becles, sorry to here your having a bad time of it, but from your DD you've not got long now.
    I have 2 boys and a girl. Aged 7,4 and 16mnths.
DS1 I had the most terrible [STRIKE]morning[/STRIKE] allday sickness where I had 2 hrs I could eat something and keep it down. After that subsided I then had my eczema flare up (never really bothered me b4), luckily was able to control with creams. Apart from this it was fine. He was in a ruch to get here and labour lasted 6hrs with only an hour being in hospital.

Ds2 sickness only came on the weekend?? (no explanation at all for this).
Eczema flared up a little but was able to control easily so didn't suffer. He stopped growing at 30wks not picked up until 34wks had c sect at 36wks and he is still small for his size with no explanation. One unto his own rules.:A

DD now that's a different story... sickness not really bad..ezcema terrible coul not keep it under control at all despite all the creams and antibiotics they kept giving me. Near the end I was down at the docs every couple of weeks due to thrush...it would be treated, go and then come back. It gotthat regular I didn't even need to go to see the doctor would just ring up and say it's happend again and she would leave precription for me. After having her the thrush went but eczema has been terrible to get under control.
also she was very stubbron and would not cooperate in coming early waited for her due date that happend to be New Years Day...:rotfl: :rotfl:
EDIT: forgot to say also had really bad heartburn, I mean really bad as in have the gaviscon bottle by the side of my bed at night, being woken up at 3/4am to take gaviscon was not my idea of fun..(can't stand gaviscon at best of times)
I do think in general my DD pregnancy was loads worse than the lads, I don't know whether that is to do with all the extra girly hormones around?

Thanks for the link. My left leg is horrid now. Hubby said I was scratching in my sleep and I've made a right mess of the back of my left leg. It's covered in horrid weeping sores now :o
Here I go again on my own....

Hi Becles, have you seen a doc at all? Just wondering as this sounds a little like eczema. Especially as you say they are weeping and look like burns,if you haven't you really should as if left it can get infected quite quickly.
My husband gets really annoyed as I scratch most of the night conscious or not and at the moment my legs are a right mess. At one point the doc had to give me tablets that knocked me out as I was feeling as if I hadn't slept at all.
