How to FIND OUT if a sent text has been 'opened/read' by the receiver?(from my phone)

If you send a text to somebodys mobile, is there a way to find out that the text has been opened by them?

I dont mean that is has been 'received' but that it has been opened/read?

So when you text them, and the open/read it, you can KNOW that they have read it

I think the most you can find out is that the text was delivered. Normally networks charge extra for the delivery reports.
It's normally on/off option in general settings for text messages.

I've only seen that you can see if the recipient has read the message on certain apps such as What's App and iMessage, not for text messages.

Nokia trailed a system some years back that did want you want (and a lot more). But the networks wouldn't supported due to privacy concerns, so they canned it...
