Though I don't take my dedication as far as risking bending my car getting to the PO in the snow....

Same here - today was first time ive risked it since last week. :D

Hope it doesn't affect my feedback - but car insurance is too high to risk a fender bender in the snow.

Harmless enough I suppose. But writng on the packaging won't make any difference. It will be treated as first class anyway.

    Errm - it does.

Post used to get mixed up until they started putting the large stamps on with 1st and 2nd on. Paying for 1st was a waste of money - as they all went out together. This is because they were sorted by hand - so a quick visible look was all they had to go by.

If you put a load of mixed stamps on - they don't have time to add them up and weigh the parcel. So a little help by writing on the parcel can only help.

I thought they were all scanned, I don't believe a poor postie stands there in a sorting office and adds the stamps up.

Where do you get this idea? Post didn't used to get mixed up, no more than would be expected with 60 million a day.
Millions of packets and letters are sent daily with multiple stamps on. Do you think they just believe you if you write first class on?
