Connecting wireless headphones to lg plasma

I'm trying to connect my wireless sennheiser headphones to tv but there's no headphone socket.anyway bought a jack female to 2x male phono splitter cable and thought I would be able to plug it into audio output (red&white points) which are the side of tv but still no,also tried the outputs on bottom of tv & still no joy, as far as I can see there are no other audio outputs.
The tv is an original plasma approx 10yrs old

I have looked at the user manual for your TV, and unfortunately it only appears to have audio INPUTS ... there is no headphone or other audio out connector, or even a digital SPDIF one.

The only thing that might work is if one (or all) of the three SCART connectors is wired for audio out, in which case you should be able to use a SCART adaptor with two phono or one stereo jack output.

Often, (if at all), there will be only one SCART connector of the TV which is fully wired to include audio out.

If you are using this connector already for connecting an external box, and cannot switch your box over to one of the other SCARTs, then the adapter you require will have to also include a SCART input connector as well as audio outputs.
