CONGRATULATIONS SWISHTER, thats great news and not perhaps something you planned to achieve within 101 days!

Tete en l'air, think it was me you were referring to regarding driving. Seems you are further on than me with driving. Am getting a little disheartened at the moment as don't feel my driving instructor is spending enough time on moves and i want to get cracking with them.
Regarding the nerves I'm probably the most nervous person you'll ever meet behind a wheel which is half my problem when it comes to driving. A good forum i found tonight which might help is

    http://www.drivertrainingtoday.co.uk/forum/index.php/board,5.35.html

I've found theres lots of really good advice on there and everyone is very supportive.

Hiya to everyone else. I haven't done too bad with my goals so far and have been motivated every day to do a little bit towards them.

Day 8 for me and so far:-

    1) Finally pass my driving test (Been learning for almost two years and still rubbish) No more lessons in my instructors car since i last posted, however been out in my own car a few times. I'm aiming to take it out three times a week. took it out during the afternoon school run, stalled it twice but know why and feel that I'm really beginning to get the hang of my little baby. I just really hope to speak to my instructor about taking the test within the next few months.

    2) Make some new friends (am new to the area and don't really know anyone) Have been talking to a girl in my area and we seem to be hitting it off and hopefully will meet up soon. Also chatted to a few others and am meeting one of them on Monday. I've found gumtree really helpful for meeting new people.

    3) Tone up this wobbly body of mine. Did my excericse video again today which i enjoyed doing, what's great is you can really feel it working.

4)Learn to swim. Am going to start swimming classes on a Tuesday evening after the half term. This is a huge improvement for me as learning to swim has been one of my goals for four years now. I can swim a little but really need to keep practicing.

    5) De-clutter my house. Have been a little lazy over the past few days and not done much more towards this. however i have been very busy so will let myself off.

    6) Get my finances in shape. Not so great, left this a little late so missed out on paying my credit card bill on time so am now going to incur a bloody fine!

    7) Read a book a month ( have been reading the same book for almost two years now!) Read at least fifty pages of my book that I've been reading for two years!

Everyone is doing so well, lets all keep it up and thanks everyone for being my motivation especially when it comes to driving, I'm finally beginning to feel that i might just pass my test when i finally book it.

Well another day, another weigh-in for me, so here's my update:

    1.Lose 21lb
Have lost another 2lb, nice and steady 5lb in total.

    2. Save £1,000 to pay of 0% credit card bill
Not done my bank recce yet, and got a £30 parking fine today:mad:

    3. Declutter and raise £200 on Ebay
Sold another 4 books today, and have been paid straight away, so my Ebay sales total £26.58 (Ebay fees not deducted yet though!) - and have another 15 items listed, bids on 2 of them, but quite a few watching the other items (not that that means anything though!)

    4. Research my family tree
Not started - must do better with this one as well.

It's great that so many of us are making progress, one small step at a time:-

Andan - you're doing especially well with your challenges, keep chipping away at them!
Congratulations Swishter, that's fantastic news! and I like your idea of listing 5 items on Ebay a day.
Tigtag so sorry about your bad news, I hope your OH gets an even better job soon.

Hope you all have a good week!

I've done really well on losing weight.. unforunately it was because i've spent the last three days in bed feeling rough as anything! Have hardly eaten anything, so feeling very skinny now, although also very weak and crap still.
    :(

Havent spent a penny since friday tho! :D

    1. Need to loose 3 1/2 stone. Several people have set 2 stone as a goal so that is my goal too not gained nor lost - just the same.
    2. Extend the vegetable area of my allotment, cut down on soft fruit (I really don't need 8 long rows of raspberries and 16 blackcurrent bushes, most of which I give away having spent ages picking) not been on the garden this week
    3. Declutter! When MIL died most of her furniture came here until we decided what to do with it - and it's still here 3 years later. filled the bin with building rubish so tidier outside(50 to go:o )
    4. Carboot all the smaller stuff date is set
    5. Learn how to use Ebay - it's the pictures I cant do have taken some pictures
    6. Take something to eat to work and remember to eat it. Usually eat it on the way home in the car no but had a coffee
    7. Open this years ISA before April 3rd as usually happens not yet, spending money elsewhere
    8. Make curtains for window in new lounge extension (built in 1993 )
    9. Go swimming on Sunday am
    10. Contact people I'm in danger of loosing touch with. two down, several to go

    How did I do?

    1. Loose weight - by just eating properly 7/10
    6. Follows on but this might make me do it 5/10
    3. Declutter - by doing 4 & 5 2/10

ps First challenge is to do what it says in my sig
Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me

Just found this thread of page 4, where is everybody!!

Ingela - hope you're feeling better! I had really bad tonislitis once and couldn't eat, I lost half a stone and fitted into my thin jeans! I'd never been so happy, unfortunately it all went back on as soon as I started eating again!!

I've got my dad to coming round on Saturday morning to measure up the alcove in my room and see what wood etc we need to build the wardrobe so will hopefully make progress on that this weekend, even if it is only buying the materials.

Healthy eating is not going so well, I was on a course yesterday and lunch was included with a chocolate mousse for desert and then chocolate cake in the afternoon break and then I had a krispy kreme donut on the way home, very very bad!! oops!

Figure its so quiet on here as we are all working towards our goals. That on the usual time consuming mundane things!

Will post up date later when i have chance.

Hello everyone. Very quiet on here, hope everyone is doing ok.

I've been really busy and not had much chance to work towards my goals, wont have much chance next week either as am going away to Amsterdam for a few days. Great for me not so great for my bank balance or goals.

Here is my update. Day 12 for me so far in the challenge.

    1) Finally pass my driving test (Been learning for almost two years and still rubbish) Spoke with my instructor who made me realise that realistically I'm not going to pass my test within this time frame, i don't know hardly any of the maneuvers.:( However i can certainly make a huge leap forward within the 101 days if i keep at it. Am driving well again in my instructors car but finding it difficult changing between his and my car. Once i get ok in one car i seem to be rubbish in the other! Have had two lessons in my instructors car and one in my own since i last posted.

    2) Make some new friends (am new to the area and don't really know anyone) Feeling a little disheartened with this one, i posted an add on gumtree about three weeks ago and have had lots of replies but after i've responded to people i don't seem to hear back from many.

    3) Tone up this wobbly body of mine. Did my exercise video again today which i enjoyed doing, what's great is you can really feel it working. Doing quite well with this one and am thinking of buying a rowing machine to provide a bit of variety to my exercise routine.

4)Learn to swim. Just waiting now to start the swimming classes on the 5th of June. I've sent my cheque and letter off so am all signed up.

    5) De-clutter my house. Have been a little lazy over the past few days and not done much more towards this. however i have been very busy so will let myself off.

    6) Get my finances in shape. Not done anything towards this one either since i last posted. I think i need to pull my finger out a little.

    7) Read a book a month ( have been reading the same book for almost two years now!) Read some more of my book, about another fifty pages so well on my way now.

I hope everyone is doing well with their challenges and staying positive even if like me you don't feel your moving forward very much at the moment.:grouphug:

  • I just thought I would bounce this up to the top. I have had a very testing bank holiday weekend and haven't felt strong enough to post an update; I will do later on though.

    Let's keep the energy going!
