Hi All,
I am looking for a SAMSUNG Series 3 WiFi Chromebook in stock but can't find any or is it just me?
Also, I realise the main purpose of these are for browsing. Are you able to buy stuff off the net with these and does it handle stored passwords like windows?
Thanks.

Why would you not be able to buy 'stuff off the net' with one? All the apps are web based: the machine is essentially a big web browser.
The only point about Chromebooks is that do to anything meaningful with it you need a permanent internet connection.
Since there's no 3G option, that may or may not be a limitation for you.No free lunch, and no free laptop

is it that urgent to get one now as only a week to wait for PC to have them in stock.
bear in mind if you find any only you will have to wait nearly a week for delivery.
amazon are the newer Chromebook5, so will be dearer0 -
These are quite popular as they are easy to crack & install a proper O/S on to give you a dual-boot system. That and the fact that CurrysPCWorld recently discounted them heavily due to lack of sales.Never Knowingly Understood.

You could always dual boot linux to do "meaningful stuff".0 -
