Hi, Does anyone know how I can unlock my Samsung E720? Is it the same as the 700? Thanks.0

Jamblario, unlocking the E720 below:-
Samsung Remote Unlock Instructions:-
1. Switch OFF your phone.
2. Put in a SIM of a different network provider.
3. Now turn your phone back on. You will see an error message saying
"Wrong Card".
4. Type *#9998*3323# in to your phone.
5. If you've entered the code correctly as outlined in the Step 4, you
shall see a screen telling you to press exit. So hit the right soft key.
6. Now you will see a Menu of choices. Scroll down and select option 7
(“Jump to Null”). As soon as you select option 7, your phone will turn
black and reboot itself. After your phone reboots, the SIM will be
recognized and your SIM will work. (Please be patient while your phone
reboots and DO NOT press any keys.)
7. Now, at your welcome screen type in *0141# and hit your call button!
This will give you a message saying your phone is Personalized.
8. Power OFF your phone and insert your original SIM.
9. Once done, power ON your phone.
10. At the SIM Code prompt, it will ask you to enter a password. Type
00000000, (that is 8 Zero's). After you enter the code, hit "ok" and
your phone should power up.
Your phone is unlocked!!!
You can now put the SIM of your choice into the phone and use it at your
will! Without ANY RESTRICTION!!!0 -

Just a reminder of something most should know already (but figured I'd post as it's a success story this end):
Don't forget that putting a bit of pressure on any service provider who you are giving a large monthly subscription to will often produce the desired results.
My girlfriend just got a K800i on upgrade with Vodafone, which she was giving to me as she already had a phone she wanted to keep. I have an O2 pay monthly contract. Upon reading threads here and elsewhere, I realised I was probably going to have to fork out more than just a few quid to get it unlocked. So I asked her (nicely!) to phone Vodafone and suggest that maybe as a valued customer of theirs who had just signed a new contract with them, they could get this sorted for free, as it really wasn't going to cost them anything (we weren't 100% sure on that bit, but when in doubt, make it up).
After thinking about it for all of 2 seconds, Vodafone CS agreed that it really wasn't a lot to ask and processed it for us for nothing.
So that's my K800i unlocked without having to go to great hassle using other websites or trawling markets or paying Vodafone 20 quid. Goes to show that a little pressure on someone you're paying money to each month can be worth trying.0 -

you dont need any sim with it to unlock it and they should have tested it afterwards0
