Before i purchase the siemens sl75 on virgin from the carphonewarehouse, does anybody know if it can be unlocked to accept an orange simcard.

Yes the SL75 can be unlocked at a cost of £10-20, you may be lucky as phones from the carphone warehouse usually are sim free so it may be already unlocked.
