Debit card - received a new one, but old one is still valid

Yesterday I have received a new debit card. The date is valid from 02/13. I still have my old debit card, and the expiry date is 02/13. Should I continue to use my old one, and wait till February to use the new one? Or should I use the new one immediately? Hope you can help.

Just cut up the old one or shred it. Start using the new one.

Make sure you cut through the chip if you cut up your old cards
