You could try the fact that Ebay make you accept Paypal. Although it's highly unlikely they will accept it as a defence.0

this will get you nowhere as its like saying i will report *** store for forcing me to only pay in cash.
It is up to any business to decide which methods of payment they will accept or allow you to pay using.
you are fully aware ebay make you accept and use Paypal as you are using their business to sell your itemswhen you sign up to use them.0 -
My frustration is that no one ever learns from this.
I know I go on about things, but these scammers are absolute scumbags but while people ignore all the warnings these scumbags continue to steal from people. If only we could stop people falling for this these scammers would have to find legitimate ways to earn money.
You can only do so much if people dont listen then they're loss. Its a shame there are people out there who do scam people and people like the OP lose out.0 -
Curious as to why you want it closed? Thanks for everyones help can this thread now be closed
Also, a lot of people here have spent their time giving you advice on your situation. It would be courteous to provide an update so that they can know how things ended up. This would also be useful information in the future for anybody who finds themself in similar circumstances.Philip0 -

Seems to be a growing trend.
Problem posted - OP doesn't get answers they wanted - they either delete their posts or end the thread.
No thought for people who have contributed.0 -

Probably embarrassed they have been scammed and this was their last ditch attempt to get some help. Personally I also think maybe SOME folk were a bit harsh and could have shown more empathy. It's a huge amount of money to lose, regardless of how foolish someone may have been.
Such a shame they find this forum now, folk here were incredibly helpful when I sold a high value item on eBay and thankfully as a result a smooth transaction was made.0 -
It is a shame. This post was answered completely by the second and third reply. The rest, as per usual, is useless.0
