Hi,

I have a 2002 CAT C repaired car bought last summer from local motor dealer and its mileage is less than 80k. I am moving to other country and no longer need it. Does anyone know where is the best place to sell it?

Best regards,

Rian

Sell it anywhere you'd normally sell it. Gumtree, ebay classifieds, etc.

Just put the following in at the end of the advert - 'please note this car was subject to an insurance claim on XX-XXX-20XX and as such is registered as CAT C on VCAR. The car has been on the road for X years since and has been through several MOTs'.

Cant see it being CAT C impacting value too much at that age.

    Dear Paul,

    Thanks for your reply.

Is there any website I could sell it for cash? or to get an idea about the price?

    Best regards,

Its a 10 yo car so won't be worth much. If it was me I would emphasise when it was repaired and how it has been fine for x number of years.

At that age I wouldn't think it will make a huge difference.

It's a Honda Jazz blue, 78k miles, very good condition in and out, can't find any sign of accident even in the engine box. I guessed it could be a bumper crash or other minor accident in the past.

If you're feeling bloody minded, get on eBay, start it at £1.00 and let it rock.

I sold my Mondeo that way and got better money than anywhere else and it was a non-runner. The ebay fees hurt a bit though.

There is a cat d one on ebay no mention of mileage but same year for £1650 ono stick it on at the same price and see what happens? Make sure it is clean and take some good quality pictures and make sure the advert is well written with no spelling mistakes or stupid coloured lettering.
