lol we take cushions when we go! hehe. It's really annoying because they get the premieres of most films, charge a bomb cos they have to to pay the producers but deliver a reli !!!!!! experience!
i agree Tenby Cinema is the worst in exisistence!
The man is really mean too about no outside sweets allowed BUT as the Bullsh!t detective showed the other night on BBC3 there is no law to stop you taking your own sweets in so I recommend you go to the Jazz Newsagent next door and stock up on your sweets and drinks there0 -
Have just returned from a week at Kiln Park so might be able to help you. Are you staying in a static caravan or touring area? If you are in a static then you will have full fridge and cooking facilities so should be able to cook some meals before going out. There is quite a good range of activities on up in the clubhouse for the children every night - but be warned it is not cheap!!! When we were there last week they had an inflatable slide there which was £1.50 for 10 mins, which isn't too bad if you have a child who is satisifed with one go!!! But we have 2 children who wanted more than this. They do serve food up in the clubhouse as in bar meals but they are not cheap but then again not massively expensive - just more than what I wanted to pay (e.g. lasange was approx £7.00). There is also a burger king there which is open every night which I think is not much more expensive than outside, there is also a chip shop there which is open on the weekends, which wasn't too bad.
The drinks at the bar are quite expensive especially their bottled drinks and wine. You could get a 4 pint jug of lager for £9.60 (£8.00 in the town centre!!). Pop worked out cheaper to buy from the Burger King.
The indoor pool is lovely and is free, if the weather is nice the outdoor pool is nice, this wasn't open when we went last week.
The shop on site isn't too bad think it was Londis so do have some good offers, but obviously more expensive than supermarkets. Somerfield I found to be quite good value especially on their meat, they also do lovely cooked chickens there for an easy meal.
There are some lovely pubs up in Tenby itself, but can't remember their names off hand. If you want to know anymore then contact me as we go very often to Tenby on our holidays.0 -
The Tenby House Hotel in Tudor Square is the most famous and popular pub in Tenby.0

Just remembered, The Woodrige in Pentlepoir/Wooden is dirt cheap for meals.0

We go to Tenby at least 6 times a year - MIL lives by the harbour.
We use the Castle beach - our 3 year old loves it.
We usually use the Hope & Anchor pub - they do great food. We also go to the Bali -hi cafe or Blueberrys for coffee and tea cakes.
Folly Farm is excellent.
We usually spend a morning at Haverfordwest, looking at the shops - then head to St David's for the afternoon, to look around the cathedral, and the marine centre.
A trip to Pembroke Castle is also worth it.Taffyswife0 -

could you ask your mil what the local buses are like as we have no car. and do you know what company runs them so i get get a timetable.thanks0 -
MIL is in Withybush Hospital at the mo, so can't check with her.
I have had a look on Pembs CC website, and there is a tel no. 0800 7831584 -says it is the telephone number to request a timetable booklet of Pembs - so this might be of use.Taffyswife0 -
Plantagenet is a gorgeous restaurant on Tudor Square. It isnt cheap but if you go for an early sitting 5.30? I think kids eat for free. Kids food include organic burgers etc
The ghost tour is good and suitable for older children. It leaves from outside one of the pubs on the main street - opposite Plantagent.
A boat trip to Caldy Island is a memory from my days as a child in Tenby. It is a small island with a monastry where the monks make soap and perfume etc. I am sure the trips still run.
Something for free is to go to the new Lifeboat station and have a look at the new all singing all dancing Lifeboat.
Oakwood is one of the cheapest theme parks not far outside Tenby and is suitable for all ages.
have fun!

I live 15 miles from Tenby - got married on the seafront in Tenby!
You will be spoilt for choice for places to eat/drink....plenty of choice. As previously said, Fri/sat's are rowdy!
There is a restaurant in the town walls 'captain pete's' which is a 3 floor soft play area where you can also sit and have a basic meal!
If you have a car you can go exploring. There are lots of hidden beaches along the coast. oakwood is a full day out. You can get discounts if you book online. Folly farm too - ideal for under 12's ( can pay with tesco clubcard deals too!) Near Tenby too is a dinosaur park, manor house wildlife park, heatherton.
Public Transport in Pembroekshire as a whole is limited. AS mentioned. Pembrokeshire county council website may help out there. There's something called a puffin bus that operates in the summer doing popular tourist areas.
Im sure you'll enjoy your stay.......0 -
be aware that during the summer there are no cars allowed inside Tenby town walls. a free park and rie scheme operates. i no you mentioned you don't have a car but if you need access to a property inside the town walls by a vehicle you will have to go before 9 or 10am i can'y remember the actual details cos its an evolving process with the rules changing each year.0
