But, of course, what items actually sell for as opposed to giving a selling price are two different things. I can't see any reason why it would reach more than £50 (ish) to be honest.
If he wants to sell it then put it on ebay as BIN for £75 and accept offers as necessary. It would only cost you 40p to do that.
Otherwise take your chance at 99p and see what it goes up to or wait for free listing weekends.
Etsy is a good idea, if you're willing to wait for a year or two with no guarantee of it being sold at a £100.
Re the moth holes. I don't think moths would eat a silky lining and would only attack wool and cashmere. Have a very close look.
Ah, I overlooked moth holes- in that case I think it unlikely to sell for enough to make it worthwhile. The only ones sold on ebay state 'immaculate' or 'excellent condition'
