I posted in here a year ago regarding getting a parking fine for alledgedley parking in a disabled space, all the advice given was to ignor any letters sent by the parking company ( UK parking control LTD ) which I have. after 6 months they stopped sending me letters, how every I have recieved a letter today small claims solicitors asking for money again. I was going to file this along with the other letters but decided to check this forum again and I have noticed a post saying that the law has changed regarding these fines and not to ignor them ?????
Can anyone please advise what is the procedure now ????

This appears to be another Debt Recovery Plus letter but there is debate going on about whether to bother to treat it like a LBCCC or not! Read that thread.
This is no biggie, your choice will be to carry on ignoring it or respond as per the LBCCC Fightback sticky thread and tell this bunch where they've gone wrong and that you'll report them to the SRA which is in the same building as them!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

After taking all the advice on here, and a year and a half later from getting the parking ticket, I now have a court summons, does anyone have any advice what I should do Now ????0

Are you saying that UKPC has taken you to court ? And if it's a court claim is it stamped papers? Have you checked on mcol to see if this is a real claim ?
Did they give you a popla code on their rejection and did you use it?When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

The paperwork I have recieved is addressed :-
Money Claim Online
County Court Business Centre
St Katharines Street
Northampton
Does this sound correct ????
Also the date of issues is almost two week ago from when I recieved it ????0 -
I dont have any code from them ????0

The last time I spoke to UKPC about a letter sent from there debt collectors, they told me to ingore it as they would write a letter to me, No letter was recived from them and two months later I got the same letter from there Debt collectors which was in February, that was the last I heard.
Looking at this paperwork, it does not seem real, there is no official stamp on it, it is a printed stamp ????0 -
Right if it's a real claim and you want to defend it then login to mcol (NOW) and acknowledge the claim, request 28 days to defend it in full, and don't dispute jurisdiction. Do it right now as you have only 14 days to request more timeWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
